We all love family stories, especially funny ones about kids who are not grown up. Do you have any funny stories about your kids, or nieces and nephews, cousins, etc? Is there a 'famous' story in your family about some of the kids?

My daughter used to put her 2 younger brothers through misery making them put on plays with her, dressing them up in everything from bed sheets to a pink tutu...lol Yes, my youngest son, who now has children of his own, was in her pink tights and tutu. But one day when they had a sheet draped from the top bunk bed they called me in for a performance. She began as the announcer and in her most serious voice said..... <drum roll> "Ladies and Gelatin!" She was not trying to be funny so I did everything I could to keep from laughing. They were doing a performance of something to do with a Genie and a magic lamp. When the Genie was about to appear she reached around from behind the curtain<bed sheet) holding a can of baby powder and smacked it hard on the bottom. Huge clouds of baby powder filled the air...and the Genie magically appeared!! Taadaaaa. To this day I have no idea what the rest of the play was like but after a start like that I gave them a standing ovation. They all 3 came out and took their bows.

My second child was slow to use normal speech, a "jing" was a guitar, a trailer or tow bar was a "dundun"??? We really puzzled over this one for quite a few months until I saw his grandad towing an oil drum! His big sister was "this" and she used to interpret plus do a lot of talking for him. His first potrait of her was hilarious. A big circle for a head and a big circle inside, then 2 legs. I asked him what was going on and he told me it was her mouth!!

I can remember my children bringing us to the garage to perform their magic shows. They would rig up string across where we would be seated and have toys magically cross over where we were seated. My foggy brain doesn't let me remember all of the shows but they were great. To bad they don't stay that way!!

My boys are just 11 and 14.  They are the love of my life!  They are wonderful guys but they have grown up with war war war.  It is on the news and in the toy shops.  I really tried to shelter them from guns but it seems almost inevitable that guns grabbed their attention from the get go.  My oldest used to eat his breakfast toast into a gun shape.  They built guns with their legos.  Their gun noises were so funny...........Jim would say "joom joom".  Teddy did more like a fssshhhh sound.  My husband has been great.  They have learned gun safety through him and boy scouts.  They are also big supporters of our troops. 

Chutz you are amazing to do this........where do you get all these ideas?  I am going to steal them for the MS board.
