Hi, I just couldn't sleep and was browsing and found this. Thought I would try it.
Conditions: polyarthritis consisitng of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondilitis, occipital neuralgia, sjogren's syndrome, osteoporosis, detached retina, macular degeneration. Medication: Enbrel - great, prednisalone 7.5ml, amlodopine, ibuprofen cream and tablets, morphine on occasions but it makes me sick, tylex, diazepam, pamidronate. cortico steroidal injections in skull every three months, various eye drops and other moisturisers for sjogrens.Past medication: Gold, methotrexate, numerous anti-inflammatories, other drugs I've forgotten.
Attitude: positive - retired and have done BA, MA and am studying for PhD in literature - study is an excellent painkiller for low to medium pain. I laugh as much as possible and am also a good listener - and modest!! Problems - chronic pain, unable to sleep well, trying to fend off depression. Best things in life: My faith, My superb husband, my family - loving but struggling to understand, my two chihuahuas and my cat who love me even though they don't understand, but they have wonderful empathy.
I find sleeplessness a problem because i have nobody to talk to and I love company.
I am nearly seventy - but twenty six when I'm up at the uni. Love being with teenagers and young people who may be old but are young!
That's all Folks!!!
