Where's Pete?

Pete posted back on June 29th (Page 5) and said that he would drop in from time to time, but he would not be able to post as often as he had been. I so miss his daily dialouges about what he was up to that day!

I think I've seen him respond to a post or two since that time, but I don't think he's started any new ones.

I know that I can't replace Pete but let me tell you that he is alive and well. I met with he and his wife today and had a great time. He has been enjoying time with his wife and has been busy, even fishing a little. He and his wife are in Washington where they will be reunited with their son later today when his ship pulls into port. They are looking forward to spending the week with one of their son's serving in the navy. It was such an honor meeting with he and his wife. What a wonderful couple. I don't know if he will be posting until they return home next week. I agree with Suzane and Lori, he is a voice on this forum that helps so many of us. He is even better in person.

Oh Yipee FJ...you met Pete!!  Is he doing okay pain wise?

PAlady, I learned a long time ago that life isn't fair. I have never been described as a butterfly, wow. The only problem with that is as the song says, sometimes your the windshield and sometimes your the bug. I guess I'll stay clear of the windshields. It really was good to sit with Pete and his wife on the waterfront. Pete said that the flight was hard on his neck but other that that he seemed to doing good. It was when we got up that we both had to stand up in stages as we had work the kinks out. I thought afterwards that must have look wierd for these two young, robust, lean men trying to stand. Well maybe not so young, robust and lean but we did have our picture taken together and Pete said he would send me a copy. Now who will be next on the meeting schedule?

I suppose it would be silly to ask if I could be next, FJ.

I mean I'm clear across the country! Alas...

PaLady is in Pennsylvania, I don't know which part, but I'm 30 minutes from the PA border (Matamoras).  I'm in Upstate NY, if you sneeze as you go through it you'll miss it.  We have only 1 traffic light in the whole town.  But, I only live about 15 minutes from Middletown, NY which has all the stores & restaurants, etc., and a big mall.

If you ever make it out this way, we'll have to make it a threesome!

I think I beat you -- we don't have ANY traffic lights in my town! Unless you count the one blinking yellow caution light at the only "major" intersection in town.
