Headaches

As many of you know I have horrible daily heacheaches. I was wondering if you heard of any of these treatments, nerve ablation, appicatiol on a stimulator, admitted to hospital for drug infusion to break the cycle of the headache, what meds were used??

So sorry to hear that. I have been suffering for ten years, and i can't believe in this day and age that they can't figure something out!! I am always doing some reading n the internet to see if there is something the dr. hasn't threid yet.

My headaches are bilateral temples, pressure feeling. \I have seen the neurologist and she can't do anything. My headaches are not migraines. They are there all the time. I have just weaned off of Morphine, my headaches were no better with it anyways. I am going to a Natural Pain Relief clinic four hours away so we are doing a second round but I have been researing on the above mentioned items in case I have no results. An infusion could perhaps give me a well needed break if it were to break the cycle. There seems to be a lot of meds that can be used as an infusion to do this. I wonder if anyone here has had that done?

I know those headache clinics, when done inpatient, usually use stuff like DHE45, anti-nausea meds, lidocaine through IV. I know that they have a certain list of meds that they put everyone on, and then fix it to suit the person. I know for a fact they wont use narcotics period, I dont even think they hardly use Toradol. And if someone comes in taking narcotics, they will wean them off. But my only problem with that is that what if the person needs the narcotics for other health issues and taking pain meds daily has nothing to do with the headaches/migraines. I was thinking of going to one of those inpatient headache clinics but a neuro doctor put me inpatient here once with a bunch of diffrent meds including a diladid drip, and they would do DHE45, but had to be given phenergan 15 minutes before cause it always made me vomit. after a week I gave up and left AMA. as we where getting nowhere with the treatments and trying to find a babysitter was getting harder and harder. But after 7 years of fighting daily headaches with chronic migraines, I finally found that Cymbalta has almost made them disappear, which really shocked me. Now when I get a migraines, Ibprofen will take care of it, and rarely sometimes, like twice a year will I need to use Imitrex, which has made my life a whole lot better. I dont know what's with the Cymbalta, and why or how it works, I just know that's it's been amazing for those migrianes/headaches eventhough it hasnt done a thing for my depression/anxiety or other diffrent pains, but that's okay, cause those migrianes where the worse.

I appreciate all your responses. I am on cymbalta 120mg at bedtime with Baclofen and no change in my headaches. They are temporal, bilateral. always there. I will talk to my pain dr. this week as we are going to the clinic. We are talking about staying in that city for two weeks and getting nerve blocks three times a week. Will get some blocks this week at least when we are down there. Off the MEslon as it did nothing to help the headaches.
