A few months ago, I had a leg muscle injury which required a surgery. I was prescribed tramadol for the pain and so far, it’s been a great help for me.

(We understand your need for pain control but buying online is not only dangerous but illegal in may states, depending on the medication. Please ask your doctor for help with pain relief medications)

I'd like to welcome you to the chronic pain forum of Healing Well. This is a great support group, but we're not doctors and do not supply medical advice.

Obtaining medications online is, in the U.S., generally illegal and can be dangerous. This is not something supported by the forum.

PAlady is correct. Buying narcotics, or even a synthetic narcotic medications online is dangerous and most often illegal. Most of these drugs are made in foreign countries and many have no regulations as to the safety and content.

Also, online sites selling narcotic medications illegally have no way to stop children from buying them. Often they only ask you to fill out a questionnaire and you can get your 'prescription'. By supporting these sites it only keeps these folks in business longer and does harm to those who purchase, especially the vulnerable...children. It's frightening to think that more than 1 in 10 high school students have already experimented with narcotic pain medications and to think they can just buy them online is frightening.

Please do ask your physician for help. If you do need them he/she will likely get them for you. Convenience is not a good reason to put your life in jeopardy.

If you're looking for convenience, you might try discussing with your doctor using a location like WalMart, or other stores which may be closest to you. Perhaps where you do your shopping has a pharmacy, like many places are doing these days. Most PM doctors require a contract, and use of one pharmacy, but if you discuss it with your doctor and one of these superstores is closest to you, I'll bet he/she would allow you to switch.

We also have another thread that lists a lot of pharmaceutical resources to help you pay, especially if you don't have insurance (but some discounts cards you can use even with insurance). That's what I'm doing right now as I have no insurance at the moment.

I hope you can find something that's safe and legal.
