It seems that most specialist require a referral even though your insurance company doesn't, mine is that way also. Tonight after you get everyone settled for the night maybe you can take a nice long hot bath and just soak. Light some candles, put in your favorite cd and try to relax. When my boys were young and I was getting stressed out that's what I would do cause they knew that the bathroom was one place they couldn't follow me into. Hope you feel better soon!

Yesterday wasn't a very good day for me. I am having trouble controlling the stress in my life right now! It's causing alot of pain I think.

My son is 2 (27 months) and is having trouble with speech. It's not really about the words he speaks, what he DOES say, he says clearly. It's just that he doesn't speak much, and isn't using more than one word at a time. So I got a speech therapist for him and she comes once a week. He also has trouble in social situations so he has a developmental therapist as well who comes once a week. It's been stressful scheduling his therapies with my physical therapy being twice a week, and balancing the housework and basically dealing with a 2 year old all day! LOL I'm not getting enough sleep so I'm sure that just adds to my stress level.

I'm still playing the waiting game to get in to see my doctor. I'll make sure to post once I have that appt!

Mom, when I was working home health I went to a home with a little 2yr old named Jackson. He hardly ever spoke until his parents sent him to speech therapy. After a year he was talking up a storm. He started out calling me Bobby, my name is Becky. One time after not being there for a few days I returned and to my surprise he called me Becky, just plain as day. His therapist had told his parents to work on one word at a time and they had chosen my name. I was so happy when he said my name that I gave him a great big hug. Your son will come along.

When I was having a hard time potty training my son my mom saw my frustration. She told me not to worry that he would be potty trained by the time he went to school. This helped me to relax and things went better from there. All kids are different and do things at different passes so don't fret he will talk more soon.

I too had multiple miscarriages in my early twenties and as recent as 2005. I lost twin girls in October of 2005. We kept trying and trying and to our surprise and joy, we were able to conceive and I was able to carry our little boy Jaden. He was born in August 2007. He is my pride and joy, and I love him more than anything! He is truly my miracle baby! I really think he saved me. All I ever wanted was to be a mom, and when I couldn't for all those years, I really had horrible bouts of depression. Now that I have my son, things in that area are really looking up! Everyday is something new, and I love seeing the world through his eyes! He is the light of my life!

Thank you for your kind words...it's great to know that there people out there who care! I never thought I would find so many caring "strangers"!

I think we all felt the same way in the beginning - about finding caring "strangers". Now we have started to feel like a huge family - very welcoming of new members! Some members have said we may know more about eachother than our family knows about us, and you know in many ways I think that's true.

I am sorry for all you went through with the miscarriages, but thrilled to read you got your miracle, Jaden!

[img]/community/emoticons/turn.gif[/img] I have to agree with the PALady even though I could pass most of these people in a store and not know any of them when it comes to the forum I feel very close. It is sooooooo nice to have partners that understand the dilema's we are in.
