Been So Busy!!!

Sorry I haven't posted at all this past week. Oh I've been getting so much done! I went down to S.E. Fla. and picked up my Mom and brought her back up here to look at manufactured homes to put on my property here in Citrus Co. about an hour north of Tampa. After looking at about 20 of them at 3 different dealers, she found one! As soon as she walked in the front door she said> "This is Home!" I wanted her to get a bigger one but she settled on one about the same size as the one we are in. It was a long day so we came back to my place and I cooked her and my wife chicken w/ sun dried tomatos, onions, garlic and mixed whole wheat & reg. riggatoni. The only fresh veggie I had was green beans so I threw some in and covered the whole mess w/ some fresh grated Romano!!!

The next morning while I had her planting onions w/ me in horse manure / sand mix (we have no real dirt here) she said, "lets go buy that home"!!! I said OK so` we went back and she wrote a check! It will be all set up and ready to move in before Christmas!!! She is so happy now!! I'll have lots to do to make it happen!!!

So I drove her back south and went to my other house about 6 miles away where my friend Jack is hermitting. I drank a beer> I don't drink very often, twice a year maybe and only one at a time! I told him that he would have to either start working on my house which was the deal we made or he would have to start paying some rent. He agreed and said he was still too sick to do anything so we agreed on a figure and he wrote me a check.

Then it was off to the races! we had recieved several notices from the "**** home owners assoc." 1) Clean the driveway & side walk. 2) Clean the green fungus off the vinel siding.

3)Mow and water the dying lawn. So I got a couple bottles of bleach and went to work scrubbing everything in sight! Then mowed the whole lawn and cleaned out the back yard of junk. Then fixed some sprinkler heads> then hobbled back into the house and crashed! The next morning I couldn't walk> back to the cain again, Oh well at least I think I got the ****'s off my back for now. I hoped in my car and went to get an oil change before driving the 250 miles back home. While there the guy said you better come take a look at your tires. 52,000 miles on them and the tread part of the tire was seperating all the way around them from the side wall! He said you are so lucky that they didn't fly off! I thought about driving 85-90mph on my trip down and my guardian angel must be looking after me again! Went straight to the bank, cashed Jack's check then went and bought 4 new tires! $$$> easy come $$$ easy go!!! I got back home last night. Traveled over 1,100miles this week and am in much pain. I know PA, I "pulled another "Pete" but things have to get did or they just don't get done! Huricane Ida is passing by in the Gulf tonight and it will be raining and blowing too much to work outside so I'm going to take a break and heal up a little unless some trees get knocked down or other damage occurs??? Hope not!

Anyway, sorry for the big story, just thought I'd let y'all know what going on in "Pete World"

Yep, you're pullin' lots of Petes! LOL Seriously, though I'm bit concerned about the disability people getting wind of any of this, but Susie could comment more on that. Maybe it's the worker's comp people who sneak around with cameras?

Anyway, I hope you don't get much more than a shower from Ida - just enough to keep you in the house resting, not enough to cause any damage!

BTW, maybe we should all buy those manufactured homes and come down there and start a little HW village! You got room for us?!!! LOL ;-)

     Good evening *warm huggs* It is so good to hear from you. I hope you are sitting with you feet up and taking a much deserved and NEEDED rest. On the other hand, I sure am glad your mom finally found a home, i know you have alot of work to do to get her settled in, but I know it will make things much easier for you in the long run. Are you guys gearing up for the holidays? I remember you mentioned youd be celebrating a little late so the whole family could come together? Is that plann still in the works? I sure hope so, it sounds like alot of fun!

 

    ....But, I was thinking about the new "rent income"... maybe? next time you could use it to pay for.. i donno, maybe once monthly yard maitnance of some kind? I know you would rather do everything yourself, but I worry about you and cant help it.   While I am thinking about it, what was the deal with the drive way anyway?

 

     Okay, sorry for bombarding you with a million questions!! Missed you!

Hi everyone> I'm so pissed! I just wrote to all of my Angels for over an hour this a/m. Replied to everyone, answeered all questions and told you whats going on w/ me now. I posted it and it sent me to the log in screen where it told me I wasn't alowed to post w/o logging in. When I tried to log in, it would not except my password! This has happened to me so many times!!! It always seems to happen when I write really big posts!! I'm so pissed!!!! This is a real pain and I wish they would fix it!! Hey Pete,

I just read this.  I put it off for a day or so because I have trouble reading long posts that aren't in a lot of little paragraphs.  I know we don't know each other real well, but I always enjoy what you have to say.  You DO over do it, but I love your zest for life. 

I would love to ask you for a HUGE favor, could you pretty please break up your posts into smaller paragraphs for my poor eyes?  I have mild nystagmus and it makes it hard for me to track.  I get lost easily and tend to give up.  I love reading your posts.

I am praying for your boys today especially.  Thank then for me, will you?  I will sing the Navy anthem for them today!!  I taught my 5th graders to sing all the service anthems on Monday so they could sing their appreciation to a Vet. today.  It was their homework.

I actually tried to write again last night and after about 1/4 hr. I got thrown out by my computer! I guess yesterday just wasn't my day! I'll tery again but will never be able to write as much as I did yesterday!



I finally found and went to my new Urologist on Monday. This was after messing around for 3 weeks trying to get my records forwarded from my old one! They saiid they had to have my records before they would see me. I was 2 weeks passed my testosterone shot and feeling kind of girly so I was hoping he would give me one w/o the whole prostate cancer feeds on testosterone lecture I've heard so many times.



In a nutshell, He was weird! I never had a Urologist do such a thuro job in examining my stuff, I mean he really got into his work!!!! I guess thats a good thing but Geeze!! He was a forien guy, not sure from where, maybe eastern Eruro?? Then he wrote me a script for testosterone! I said "whats this for? I don't want the rub on jell, I want the shots!" He said, "It is for the injections" > Huh?



"You have to go get it at the drug store, we don't keep it here, then come back for the shot." Boy they do things wierd up here in the country! Anyway, I went out to see the girl and she said> "You have to come back tomorrow for your injection, we only give them in the morning!"



So the next day I go pick up my "Man Juice" at the pharm, dropped the script off the day before of course! Then over to the Doc's office at 10:30am for my 11:00 apt. The girl tells me my apt. was for 9:00am! Og geeze! I looked at my apt cards and I seen the card for my apt in two weeks for 11:00!! SORRY! OK we'll let you slide this time!



So in I do for a shot in my big butt! I give the nurse "da stuff" and she goes out to load er up! Comes in and gives me the most painfull T-shot I ever got!!! Ouch, whats up w/ that???

Then she hands me the vial of testosterone. now what am I supposed to do w/ this? Bring it back w/ you next time, theres still two more doses in there! OK> so now I have testosterone in my fridge next to my Fla. OJ!!! Weird stuff!



Well its getting light and I must go to work on "The Big List!!" I have so much going on right now! But I did take the time to get about 150~200 onions planted yesterday in the rain!

U r an incredibly strong willed person, reading all u did made me feel sore. Hehe.

I had to laugh @ your vial of testosterone because I had to do the same thing with my estrogen before I switched to patches. And the shots were awful because the estrogen was in oil. My dr office didn't even carry needles big enough, they had to order them just for me. They were painful and I had to get them every two weeks. Now I have a patch the size of a thumbprint.

I hope u feel better. I have family & friends in florida myself and I'm so glad to hear that ida weakened to a tropical storm before hitting land.

Don't take this wrong but I was ROFL reading your post. Now I KNOW it wasn't funny, but you should write an article describing all this! Just don't mistake your Man Juice for the Orange stuff!

Pete I thought you were planting the onions in Florida,lol, I bet most of us thought that. Pete, I had to razz you over the shot business, I give myself Humira shots every other week. It has to be refrigerated and it gets very thick. You cannot inject it cold, it must be room temp otherwise it would be pain from Haitis. I will admit the shots are painful, sometmes worse than others and I have no idea why. I do not inject until it has set out 12 hrs, I am a big baby. I currently inject in the tops of my legs and I am also suppose to do the stomach too. I will tell you the truth, I do not have what it takes to do one of these in the stomach because they do hurt,lol. I had to get shots in the stomach when I was in the hospital something about being down laying in a bed, really do not remember, except it was not pleasant. That is why I am a chicken doing Humira in the stomach.

Don't work too hard.
