To ALL of the people who have served this country and their own countries (I love Chutzie's information about that on the koffee klatch thread) I offer my thanks.

Service also comes in many forms, so I'd like to thankk anyone who has served their country, even if in civilian roles. And the reserve units here in the U.S. who are deployed over and over again. And the families who wait...and sometimes receive the most heartbreaking of news.

But a special thanks to all those forum members - and Jag, I think I read you're one of them, right?

I also would like to pay my respects to those that have served our Country and protect those freedoms that we hold so dear.
We took our Cub Scouts to the new Purple Heart Museum that was built in our area. What a lesson in history for them and they got to meet a few actual WWII veterans. I was truly proud when they saluted those two men and thanked them for keeping us safe.
I saw a few tears form in those Vets eyes, and then they told us thank you for teaching those boys about an important part of our history and the sacrifices made still today by those that serve.
