I thought this might be a nice topic. I recently (last few weeks) have been in a crisis. I belong to a few Lyme websites. I put out a plea for help from my friends and they responded with lightning fast reflexes. Lets just say I am no longer in a crisis.

I am grateful for all my internet friends. I never had friends growing up. Now I have the best friends anyone could ask for. I have met many, and just thank my lucky stars for them.

I am also grateful for my family.

   Dear Miss Melissa,

 

     I am greatful for my family. I never really had a family before. When I was growing up all through even my teenage years, I would dream about having a family of my own. I even dreamed of 2 little girls. And now my dreams have finally came true. Though for many many years it was hard, and I was frightened and alone. It was worth it, they were worth the wait. They are everything I dreamed they would be and more.

I'm grateful for my mom, my sister, my brother, my husband and my extended family. I am also grateful for my memories of my father that I have preserved both in my mind and pictures that were taken long ago.

Now...before I start bawling.....I better close. Having a bad day.

Thank YOU for starting this thread! I think I'll add to it off and on during the week. But it will help me refocus which is always good.

I will first say like you, I am so grateful for all the people here on HW, my internet "family", that I can't even put it into words. I don't know what I would have done theese past couple of years. Truly.

Many more things. I still do have a home, a roof over my head. I can walk and be fairly mobile. My car still runs (that may change! LOL). I have a great extended family, and my goddaughter is the joy of my life. The closest I have to a child of my own.

Thanks again for starting this!

Merrygirl, THANK YOU!

I am grateful for my husband, my daughters, my 99.75 yr old granny, my Dad, my brothers, my sister,my friends, my doggies and especially my HW FAMILY.....EVERYTHING in my life!  Every morning I start off with silent Thank you's, my favorite is thank you for my legs that support me on the floor that I am thankful for......Oooooey gooey huh, but I will tell you if I don't start my day that way, usually turns out to be a rough one!!

She's 38, tmj. Not a child by any means; in, she and her hubby have an 8 y/o daughter and 6y/o son.

Oh, and of course a feline (Burch) and a canine (Chloe)!

I'm grateful for my hubby, my daughter and 3 kitties and my friends here on HW there are

I am thankful for my family, husband, two daughters and their families. My momma who is almost 89 and sometimes she thinks I'm her momma but that's okay I owe her some years!! This past year I nearly died as a matter of fact I had a 66% chance of living if they removed my colon and bowels which resulted in an ileostomy but I had a 0% if they hadn't done it that way. I thank God everyday for keeping me here with the family and guiding me to this website where I've met so many wonderful people. Love to all of you.

Lately with the move and the huge change in culture I've been feeling really outcast. People here at HW are great and have been helpful to me when they're not even talking directly to me. This thread is a prime example. I was feeling lonely, homesick, and 'stranger in a strange land-ish' and was getting down about things. I have to remember that even though I'm not really happy with where I'm physically located - at least I'm still alive, the pain is tolerable, I have a roof over my head, a boyfriend that loves me, and four cats that think I'm god. So, I do have things to be thankful for, and need to say thank you for reminding me to look at them - instead of just the things that I don't have anymore.

This is great thread! I love this idea!

Personally I'm thankful for my husband and my beautiful son. After over 10 years of infertility, at the age of 33, I finally had the baby I had been praying for all those years! He is my miracle baby!

I'm also thankful for my parents, siblings and extended family! We are such a close family and do everything together! I am so lucky that my entire family lives so close. We have so much fun together and holidays are always amazing!

I am thankful for all the traditions that have been passed down from my family that I have already started with my son. It always makes me feel like a kid again!

I am so thankful for my HW forum family! You guys are awesome!

Hope your Thanksgivings are wonderful!

PA...they think I'm god for one simple reason....I have the thumbs and control the food canister. Other than those moments they're like most with faith, they think very little about it unless I rumble. Heh

And for PRR, I'm glad to have met you here too. I've read some of your stuff, just haven't been posting much lately with feeling overwhelmed.

What a awesome thread,

I am greatful for my family, my 4 beautiful supportive children whom i love so very dearly.
I am greatful to be married to the most wonderful husband in the world, we are childhood sweethearts since the age of 16 years of age.
I am thankful for all that my husband and kids do for me each and every day and for the love we all share for one another, they are my stars ***** Forever together forever more.
For my extended family, and wonderful inlaws who we miss dearly as they reside in Greece.
And to all of you wonderful people on this forum
