Chart please read.

Hey Chart,

I read a response you wrote on Pete's thread about his trip to th psych dr. Just so you know, your husband's income has no bearing on whether you get awarded SSD benefits. Getting awarded benefits is based on your age, education and what your dr writes in your medical records. You do have to have a medical condition that is listed on their list of accepted disabilities. The only time a spouses income is considered is when its to determine whether you will have to pay tax on your benefits when you file your income tax. I just wanted to clear this up, because again, a spouses income does not affect you getting SSD awarded. Hugs.

Told ya my vision is still wacky, the steroid eye drops makes it blurry....

It may help to remember what the letters stand for. SSD stands for Social Security Disability, but SSI stands for Supplemental Security Income. Like Susie said, two different animals, but it can be confusing!
