I haven't seen any posts or replies from you in a couple days.  You ok?  Your always in such a good mood & always joking around, I kinda miss that.  Don't get me wrong I've seen you rant before but we all have our moments.

I was wondering the same thing! Actually, I've seen you post a couple of times, but you've been on the "quiet" side lately. We miss you - and your jokes, etc!!

Sorry everyone....still not myself...and the pressure is on me big time as we are getting closer to the closing of the sale of the business. I just don't want to do anything anymore. I have so much on my mind now.....and I guess I'm just worried about everything. I will be ok, just need a little more time to get things in order here. I'm in the middle of getting used to the new iMacs as well....cross training on all of it. I really do miss you all....and I did try to post few things here the last day or so. I will be so glad to get off of these oxycontin's...if I can after the surgery. Hope you all are doing ok....maybe I will be better tomorrow.

Take care of yourself. I'm sorry you've got so much going on... and how overwhelming it can get, both physically and mentally. Just post when you can...as I hope you can tell, you are missed when you are gone, by many of us! But, above all, take care of yourself - that's the most important thing.

Will keep you in my prayers, if that's ok...

I truly do understand. I just cleaned out the last of everything from my office today with the help of my goddaughter. Of course, it's stacked all around me now, and I've got so much of my own stuff to do plus still finish some paperwork to close up the business. And there's the emotional piece I don't think I've even touched yet. I mean, I wasn't going in everyday or anything, but now there is no where to go. And with winter upon us I think I'm really going to feel couped up (although many winter days it will be a blessing not to have to drive). Then there's the money. And many, many other things. Just the organizing and cleaning out the office these past few weeks has had me in a tizzy. So many things to let go of. And so many things to organize here. I can barely move in this room now!

Sorry, I got off on me, but I just wanted you to know I understand. And we'll be here whenever you feel up to writing. All things in time.

Hang in there! Just make sure to take good care of yourself during this time, we are all here to give you support! I do wish you well and hope the closing sale of your bussiness goes smoothly! Good Luck to You

PALady it seems that many of us are in such a major transition right now! There is so much uncertainty to all of it! Not to mention all the mixed emotions that that we experience! One way or another it will all work out for each and every one of us, ( at least I hope it will!) it is just the process of getting there that is problem! I give what support I can! I hope it all comes together for you!

Thanks, White Beard. I agree, it seems like there's a lot of transitioning here for many of us, but then that probably goes hand in hand with our health issues which lead to so many things!

Let's hope it works out for you, me, Michael and everyone here!

I just gotta say to everyone here, YOU ARE ONE BIG BUNCH OF WONDERFUL CAREING PEOPLE!

Michael, I do hope your surgery helps with your pain levels. Before going on the oxycontin I was using Avinza, a morphine based ER pain med, this one is 1 every 24 hr. Maybe your doc could switch you to something else to clear your head. Feb. is still a ways off.

White Beard I hope your divorce can be finalized soon & you are able to come to a decision about whether to stay in your home or move to a more suitable place that is easier for you to take care of.

PaLady, you have so much on your plate right now that I hope you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Mom, with all your medical issues & 6 boys to take care of you too are a miracle & are one tough cookie. I hope the New Year will give you some relief and that you are able to keep your spirit going.

    just a side note: yesterday, I forgot to take my meds to work with me. and missed the 12hr oxycontin. Was not a fun day for me. The roads were slick, so I had the wifey stay home...and I just tuffed it out for 8hrs....and boy was I glad to get home.....I ran for the medicne safe when I got there! I don't think there is anything worse than working two jobs and having CP.....hold your breath you all!....I know there is, it's just my own mind set way of thinking! :) .....and then the Christmas season coming on all at the same time....and the worry of the surgery. Over whelming to say the least. It should all settle down by the 1st or so. I will be soo glad when it is all over with. The business is a healthy one and we have been growing fast in the last two yrs. It has been pretty much a recession proof business....but with my health problems....and the fact that it has done so well...it seems like a good time to dump it when it is worth something. I can always get back in to something simular...like action shots...in the future if Im up to it. Thank you all soooo much for asking about me....it really does mean a lot to me at this time. I think about all of you all the time....and worry for you too....what a mess were in!

    ....also, at times... we think we will feel better if we lay down...and thats true to a point...but if we over do it and lay around too much...it can have just the opposite effect....with stiffness and so on. We all need to keep those muscels stretched as much as possible. I have a bad habit of heading for the bed as soon as I get home...4:00pm...and will stay there till 6:00am the next morning. The weekends are the worst...I never get out of bed! However last weekend....we went to a Trace Adkins concert on Friday night...hit the bed by 12:00am....then back up at 5:00am Sat morning to set up studios in a near by city, to shoot basketball photos...then race back home at noon to set up for a High school Christmas dance.....catch a 3hr nap then back to the High School at 8:00pm to shoot....and finally got to bed by 2:00am Sunday morning. Now do you all see why I'm getting rid of the business? I have been doing this for the last 14 to 15 years...and we shoot year around mostly on weekends and quite a few week nights. Plus I work a full time job with an Aircraft company...with plenty of overtime to boot! My doctor said I have worked myself into the health problems that I'm having today. I love the photography...and especially the people and the children. I manage around 30 directors and several hundred coaches....and thousands of customers....and several part time contract employees....not to mention, we own our lab and produce all products in house. I also design all the artwork applied to the products.....and have a couple dozen suppliers to keep track of. By now....you all must see what is going on here......I am working myself to death! My wife and I are sooo in Love...and I want to spend as much time as I can with her.....she says that I need to find a new hobby though...as she does need her space as well....a very strong independnt woman to say the least. She can work on the cars...mowers..electrical...plumbing...wood working...you name it she can do it. Also when she cleans up for a night out on the town...she has the grace of Princess Dianna! Beautiful woman! I'm one lucky man...and she reminds me of that everyday! :) We both have our strengths...and it works well for us. Im a proven business man...and anal about my service and product's that I put out. I have the vision...and she helps me execute it! .....oh our marriage isn't perfect...and when we have a tiff...it's a good one.....but all in all, were a pretty good match. Take care my friends.....now Scram! :)

It was really good hearing from you, and all that you have going on. Wow, I can't believe the schedule you've had for all those years w/ photography. I can absolutely understand why you are making changes... But I know it's difficult, because it is your passion. And you work another FT job on top of that? I honestly don't know how you've done it...really. I'm glad, for your health, that you are making some changes...

Your relationship w/ your wife is awesome!! I admire that so much. How long have you two been married? I am so happy for you both that you have such a strong relationship.

Anyway, Michael...take care of yourself... and remember to take those meds!! That IS the worst thing, I know (forgetting to take your meds). It hasn't happened to me many times...but the couple of times it has -- wow!

    Yes!.....Jag! Thank you for starting this thread, and asking about me....You the Man/Woman! :) forgot your gender! :)

   Tina, Deborah and I have been married just a little over 3yrs and dated a year before that....but have known each other for about 10ys before that. She was divorced around 5yrs and I was divorced 3yrs before we realized there was an atraction there. We were friendly competiors in the business.....she also own a photography business on top of all that we do now....and owns a online Scrapbook company as well. We have a lot of balls in the air all at one time....and with my health problems....I have been starting to drop a few the last 6mo or so. Im kinda a perfectionist in a way. (dont check my spelling!..not my strong suit!) I hate making mistakes...especially ones that effect the customers.

...and yes...I usually never forget my meds...I'm sure all of us know excatlly how many pills are left in our bottles...and when our refill date is....anyway I do! :)  I had a senior come in a while back...and had just counted how many pills I had before she got there for her photo session. as we were viewing her proofs on the computer..I took one of them...and poked the bottle in her face.. and jokingly said you want one!....Well the next day I went to my office to get my bottle before I took off for work...and was shocked to see only half of the bottle left!....I knew right away..who had taken them! I stepped away from the desk into the other room while she was there....and I guess she thought she would take a few of Grandpa's pills...thinking he would never notice it......WRONG! It's one thing to be taking blood pressure meds, and quite another to be taking med's for moderate to severe pain. Im sure we all pay more attention to the amount of pain meds that we have left as opposed to the Metamucil we are taking for the old poop shoot! (Sorry! I know TMI!) The senior girl happened to be the daughter of my lab tech, and I couldn't prove it, so I didn't say anything to her about it. She did come in a few days later and said her daughter had been in a wonderful mood the last few days!...and said that it was odd for her to be that way. Gee!....I wonder why!  Grrrrrr!....Grrrr! Thats when I started using a small money safe that we have in the house to store my meds in. Problem solved!  Take care now....all of you, and again Thanks!

I'm laughing... not at what happened with your pills (that is terrible!!)...but at your sense of humor!! Oh my goodness, I can't believe that happened, though. I "know" it happens....but I really can't ever imagine "stealing" someone's needed medication... Yikes!

Re: you and Deborah - I'm so glad you both found each other and are together! Ohhh...I used to love scrapbooking! That was one of many hobbies before I got so ill. Anyway, I'm happy for you guys...and admire the relationship that you have.
