Hi Sandy, if your fingers are tinged blue it doesn't sound good, have you found an emergency clinic or after hours surgery that could check it out for you? Does heat help? If its cold maybe a heat pack may help with your circulation? I agree with the others you should get it seen to.

Your wrists sound frightening, avn sounds like a scary condition to be dealing with. My rheumy is talking about fusing my wrists but I'm not losing bone to your degree. I find the prospect fairly daunting to say the least. So BIG HUGS and I can totally relate to waiting rooms, everyweek I seem to be waiting somewhere, it doesn't do the joints any good at all!

Sorry I'm a bit disjointed with my thoughts today, didn't have a good night, but my thoughts are with you, golitho

I actually wound up calling the on call for the hand doctor. Unfortunately, he is a back surgeon. And it was pretty obvious that he knows nothing about avn or hand /wrist problems. After I explained what happened, the avn, cast , removing it etc and the on going swelling, blue tint, increased pain, he said, well is there a pulse and I finally managed to locate one, so he said, well as long as there is a pulse, don't worry about it and come in Monday........you can still have a pulse and have a clot, it is the tempo of the pulse and the regularity as well as the "intensity" of it that counts......idiot......so needless to say, I am not reassured by his comments/diagnosis or lack of one. If I went to the ER, they would have him come in since he is the on call for the hand surgeon......lucky me...
