Using buprenorphine for pain

Hi! I'm new to this forum and suffer drom Deg Disc Dis,neuropathy,sacroiliac dysfunction and diabetes. I started to see this pain management Dr. who prescribeed me Subutex off label. I know Suboxone is for drug addiction problems, but that is buprenorphine with naloxene. I've been hearing good things about it, but for people addicted to drugs, which I am not. It does alleviate the pain, but at 24-32mg dosages. I take 4mg every 3 hours.

Any feedback or info from anyone is definitely appreciated.

I have heard about subutex being used as a pain medication and it does seem to work for some, however the withdrawals can be awful from what I have heard. When it is used for pain , it is usually dosed at low doses , higher doses don't work for pain but do work for withdrawal problems, so if you are getting good pain control and you are happy with the medication, keep taking it as prescribed.

I think "HelloKitty" used Subutex for pain. Not positive on that one. You could try the search feature on the website. I know there have been several posts about using Subutex for pain in the past.
