Hi!!

I'm very remiss about posting the past couple of weeks. My head has been on Holiday...lol When I take a brain break I shut down and rest the head. It keeps my sanity. And as many of you know the best place for me to find some peace and the sanity I need is the beach. We'll be heading out and taking advantage of the long weekend coming up. The prediction is for lots of rain and 35 mph winds... Waahooo...that's my kind of camping weather. I've got a few good books packed, some sewing and might even get a turn on hubby's laptop. tongue Hubby got me the 6 DVD set of Ken Burns..The National Parks, America's Best Idea, for Christmas so we'll be watching that a few times too...lol

Koffee Klatch and Chat Nights will resume come Monday so everyone save up your best stories and memories. It's time we had our daily laugh and together time.

Please have a peaceful and safe New Years Eve. I love my family here, you are very special to me!

You've sure been missed!

Your upcoming long weekend sounds like my dream vacation right now :) You are right...that's my perfect camping weather, too.... Enjoy your books...sewing projects...etc. And just rest and relax.... you surely deserve it!!

And, we'll all be here....waiting for the return of Koffee Klatch on Monday :) Like I said, you've been missed :) Have a safe trip...and a Happy New Year's, Chutzie... Thanks for all you do, and for being special to all of us here...

I'm new here and am not really sure what the Koffee Klatch stuff is, but I'm sure it's wonderful, or perhaps it's a trick to steal my soul, either way it's got to be better than whats on TV right now at 3am. You might be an insomniac if...you watch reruns of cheers from 1985 at 3:15am.

Anyway, hope your holidays are going well and you're managing, as I hope we all are.

Chutzie, Having just returned from the beach, it was great to watch the winter waves come crashing in. We actually had some sunshine which is strange for this time of year here in Oregon. We start referring to the sun as an unidentified flying object. We don't see it long enough to identify it. Have fun and at least it will be a change which is always welcome. We will be looking forward to your return.

I too have been wack busy over the hollidays! I don't have enough time to post all thats happened and is still going on but have a great time at the beach!!! Sounds restfull. I watched all the Ken Burns "National Park" and just loved it!!! I love everything he makes! I'm sure you will enjoy it too.

Well, I have to run, the sun is up and it's a brisk 35 degrees here in NW Fla. I have to go out and get the boat ready and packed up as Pete Jr, & I are going to brave the Gulf of Mexico today in hopes of bringing in some fresh fish for dinner! Pete got in 2:00am Tues. a.m. and my other son Joe comes in tomorrow night!!!

Christmas present #2 is coming!!!>>> YeHa!!

Have a great trip, you deserve it!!!

Chutzie do you need anyone to help get camp set up? I am an old seasoned camper, lol. Love being out like that. I am envious, sounds wonderful. Enjoy and kick back and relax, does not get any better than that. Have a great New Years Eve realxing and listening to the waves. Hugs,

You all are so very sweet! At times I hate to leave the beach but coming home to a special famiily like you is wonderful. You make me feel so good.

We had a great time and yes, I way over did it but I would do it again. We went clam digging...razor clams for those who are familiar with them. This time of year you can only dig the night time tides so you dig with lanterns and flashlights. It's a blast! One night though the wind was gale force I'm sure but it still was fun. At least we didn't get skunked like some folks did. The other night we dug we both got our limits although hubby had to help with most of mine. I did pull up a few but OM Goodness!, this is a new adventure in pain. I tried to pop the top off a marker pen this morning... just a tiny little marker I use all the time... and it send waves of pain from the hand, up the arm, around the shoulder and landed in my neck. Still bad but oh well! I'd do it again. We were laughing like crazy...well, until I got hit by a wave and nearly went down. I yelled for hubby and he grabbed before the wave started back out. I thought for sure I was going down in 2'-3' of surf. smilewinkgrin

So, I'm headed for my chair and a heating pad. Thanks for the sweet hugs and loving comments...

You were dearly missed Chutzie!!!! It will be good to get back on track. Glad you had a wonderful time at the beach. Where were you exactly? I am a camping nut. We have a tent trailer and just love it. Once the long weekend of May comes, then we try to get away as often as possible. Camping is where I find myself so at peace, it is God's country!!!

Anyways, (sorry I got carried away a bit) welcome back dear friend!!!

Welcome home, Chutzie!!! So glad the wave didn't cart you off!

You're making me hungry thinking of the clams - were they good? I love raw clams and oysters on half shells - learned those things when going to grad school in Florida. Course you gotta have a great sauce to dip them in! Yum!

Hello Chutzy! I too welcome you back! We all look forward to your Kofee Klatch post again! I wanted you to know that my wife (Mrs. Eagle) and I went to visit Privey in Junction City and had a blast visiting her and her husband. She even cooked Prime Rib for us! The evening went fast, way too fast! We took some photos and will post them on your photo site, as soon as we get them processed. Privey has a wonderful sense of humor, and matches mine closely. It was wonderful to share our stories together, and let the spouses join in. We all to often don't take the time to realize what our spouses go through as they try to support us. Privey's husband, and like my spouse is a wonderful person, displaying a positive attitude that helps those of us that suffer this horrible condition. Our Spouses suffer right along with us, weather or not we think they do. We all need to think about it, and Thank them on a daily basis. Sorry I got off the topic here. I tend to do that from time to time. Chutzy, I'm sure you understand what I'm talking about. Welcome back!

I just got back too, so welcome back, Chutz. Clam digging sounds like hard work but exhililiarating, The power of the waves and the wind, a real tonic for the mind. Hope your poor body is recovering well with some TLC now.
