Surgery in my future.

Good morning Scarred! I understand the worry over surgery too! Most all of my friends that have had any sort of knee surgery turned out pretty good, and as you know is much different than major back surgery. We all will be thinking about you, and hope for the best. Lets hope your surgeon can find what in the world is causing your pain. Any kind of pain is not fun at all....I woke up this morning with a cold, that I caught from my wonderful wife, and it seems to make my back pain even worse. Have you ever had knee surgery before? I have never worried about going under, and I know it can be very dangerous to do so, but I figure I will be out, and not know the difference anyway. Have you had problems being put under in the past? One thing that I have done is make clear to my wife and children, that if something goes wrong, I do not want a machine to keep me alive at all. We never know if something will happen like that, but I wanted my wife to not worry about making that kind of decision. If I were a betting man, I'm a guessing your surgeon will find the cause and repair it right there on the spot for you, Good luck my friend, and as always keep us posted on your progress, And please remind us on the day you are going it for it. I have a terrible memory now with all the pain meds that I'm on.

Scarred good luck on the surgery. At least by the dr scoping the knee you will have much less anesthesia time like with your other surgeries. They claim the average knee scope is about 45 minutes, much less than the traditional surgery. I am with you I do not like being put out, but I sure don't want to be awake either, lol. Take care.

It's normal to be anxious about surgery. You'll do fine! Just try not to think about it too much, or if you do think about it, think positive thoughts. I don't know if attitude truly makes a difference, but it can hurt to think it might! This might be the one that fixes your knee!!

hey all! Its me again. lol. wb, the ortho is scoping to see if he can find any cartlidge that might be catching on the knee this would explain my pain. I go in friday and its only like a 45 min procedure, but I hate the idea.

Hey, on a off topic note, this was all typed on my wii! I have internet on it and can go to any webpage I want!

I hope that your surgery goes well. I've had several knee scopes and they always turned out okay. I know how you feel about going under, I tend to fight it, sometimes not as successfully as others but still.

Hang in there, hopefully this will relieve your pain and you will find yourself glad that you decided to do this in just a few short weeks.
