Hey PaLady,

I see a few posts from you again. I take it you got the computer back working. What happened with it, any ideas? Mine has been going haywire on me, I have no clue what is up with it. I have had some trouble at times logging on here, finding multiple posts, then going back and deleting all the extras. Just crazy stuff.

It sounds like your company is becoming a bit of a pain. You are so right in not letting him out. Cats don't move well at all as a rule, thats another reason he is giving you some grief, being in a strange place and wanting to go out and roam too. When we moved to our home 20 yrs ago, my vet said to keep my cat inside for several weeks and gradually take him out a little at a time. He was an indoor/outdoor cat.  He said otherwise if I just let him out there was a good chance he would take off and not come back. Boy, he was awful, he decided he liked it upstairs and pretty much confined himself up there. But, several times a day he would sit at the top of the stairs and just holler that awful sound.lol. He was real skiddish outside at first. Then one day he found the boat on the side of the house and jumped up on it and bingo, he found his old scent and knew he was at home and he did fine from then on. We had the boat covered and he loved to lay up there in the sun and sleep all day. It was like a light came on for him once he smelled his scent on that cover.

I hope you computer stays up and running. Have no idea what mine is going to do. Feel like pitching it out the window sometimes.

We had another snow hit yesterday. it started out raining, turning to sleet and then snow. It was real pretty but gone this morning. Now, its nice and muddy. We have just had some crazy weather thats for sure, snow 3 times in one month is unheard of in this part of the country. Our temps are way down too for this time of year. Trying to stay warm and dry.

Stray, I think we got some of your snow last night! We got a nice dusting of it, and the car wrecks were just awful up this way. Your in Texas right? In fact I was a thinking PaLady and you both were down there. I think some of the problems with the computers have been with the Healing Well site. I have noticed several times that when I post a reply, it looks like it didn't take, and I hit the submit button again only to find a double post of my reply. Many times in the evening, it just will not let you log on. So I think there is something funny going on with the servers there. We bought two new Apple computers, and they have worked perfect with web searching, except for when I try to get on Healing well. PaLady I hope you are doing fine, and I have been reading your post about the cat. Ours is doing just fine, and I can relate to some of the things that Stray has been saying about them. Take care to the both of you, as you both are leaders here on the forum.

SE, yes I am in Tx but PaLady is in the other direction from me, where its really cold and lots of snow. Wish I was there darn it, I love the snow. But, as a kid I grew up in Ky and we had plenty of it. Guess thats why I miss it so. Of course, I could just see me trying to get down on a sled to ride down a hill, and then trying to get back up, lol. would not be a pretty sight.

You could be right about the servers here because I have been having some of the same issues as you have. I had been posting and all of a sudden it said I was not logged in and all sorts of junk.

Hey PA Lady I'm glad you're back to posting as well. Hope your service continues to improve. Cats are so cool I just wish I had more to play with. I gave our Tomi Boy a new toy last night and he just loved it and played and played with it and he's 7-8 years old. Grayson cracks me up because he gets lost. Our house isn't all that big but if he goes downstairs for a nap and wakes up he sits at the bottom of the stairs and cries until one of us say come on up here Grayson we are up here. Silly guy runs up the stairs like whew I'm glad I found you all.

Stray and everyone,
Well, I really didn't do anything to fix my computer, and I've been wondering if it's at lesast in part HW, and reading your posts makes me think it is. I'm not having the trouble on other sites. But sometimes (like now) I can read a couple of posts, maybe post one myself, and then it crashes. When I tried to read this thread earlier today, the site crashed before the thread opened.

So you'll see me pop in and out, and that's about the best I can do for now. I'm reluctant to write any long posts for fear I'll crash before I can submit! LOL

I brought my feline visitor back to his house today. His family is returning on Friday, and he was getting a bit to unwieldy! He figured out which door was to the outside, and every night sat in front of it and cried, first softly, then louder, culminating in occasional wails! I'd have to bribe him with more food. He probably put on 2 or 3 lbs. while he was here! LOL Of course, I got him lots of soft, canned delights instead of his usual dry crunch. Turns out his favorite appears to be the salmon, just like my old kitty! And he looked so much like the cat I had for 20 years I nearly cried when I'd see him in the window. But even the cat I had for 20 years never got to sleep in bed with me, and Birch did and boy did he take advantage of it! Last night he started out draped over my stomach, moved down to my legs, and then finally I had to turn on my side so he decided that was ok, I guess, and he just snuggled up close. I have to admit that part was kind of a treat for us both.

I did learn that if I decide to get another cat I will want to keep it indoors, and that will mean I need one who's used to that, and preferably front declawed already. So I'll kind of search the shelters for those traits, when I get ready to look. I am exhausted tonight from keeping an eye on my little friend. Earlier today he discovered the bathtub, which is odd for a cat, but he decided to try to scale the shower curtain! Nearly ruined it with his nails!!! I almost turned the water on but didn't want him tracking water all over! I kind of miss him tonight, though. Very mixed feelings bringing him home today. But he's not my cat....sigh.
