Went to a 3d movie

Last night hubby and i went to see Advitar i really enjoyed it,but something weird has happened. When we got home from the movie i could tell i had some eye strain. I really didn't think much of it went to bed figured it would ease up with a nights sleep. I got this morning and i'm having pain in my left eye is that weird or what. So whats the likely hood that my eye is hurting from watching a 3d movie.

Its such a long movie, I had trouble with a headache and sore eyes too, but found it hard to sit for so long. Some cinemas have better quality 3D glasses than others. I reckon it could easily be eye strain.

Well earlier before Thanksgiving I went to see Disney Scrooge and it is also in 3D, and it uses the same glasses, and then Christmas night I went to see Avatar I thought both the movies were fantastic and I loved the 3D affect, I read up on this and the lenses are just polarized lenses similar to what is in some sun glasses! The 3D affect is achieved with the different wave lengths in the difference in the polarized and unpolarized light, or something like that! Anyway I did not notice any problem with eye strain or head ache, but..... the movie was long!! Really long! You know when I was working in the hospital, when patients were sent down for a procedure, and it was going to cause the patient pain later on, the Doctors would often order us to premedicate the patient to make it more comfortable for them and to prevent them from having pain. So with that in mind, about a half hour before the movie, I took myBT med, and by the time the movie started it was working and I was able to get through the entire movie relatively well! I admit that toward the end of the movie I was squirming in my seat a little! Another thing I did was I made sure I was first in line so I could get in and get a choice seat and be comfortable!

What can I say we all learn the little tricks we need to do, to cope with the situation were in! I wish is it wasn't that way, but it is what it is!

Auntkay, sorry to hear about the eye problem. Like any of us need any more things causing us pain right. I hope that a few days will relieve the pain. I took a few days off last week and actually left town. I took my wife to the movies, the first time since we could remember, more nthan 20 years. I have to admit I had eye problems during and after the movie but it was from the emotions that some of us like to keep hidden. Ok, I cried at the movies. I admit it. Anyway, I hope you get feeling better.
