I'm hoping for some suggestions.
I just got back from pain clinic after two intercostal depomedrol shots. I'm hoping for some relief from pain from 3 sliding ribs which were broken or separated or something by my seatbelt in bad auto wreck. (Dumb bunny didn't know what to do at a blinking red light and tried to make it through the intersection right in front of me.)
The wreck was in June and I still have to hold my side to roll over and I can't sit in a straight-back chair. I tip the seat back to drive.
I get relief with tramadol, which I take for fibromyalgia and arthritis and torn knee cartilege, but if I take more than 1 a day I get clonic leg spasms. I take Neurontin 100 mg TID for the fibro, which helps the rib pain a little.
I was told that a thoracic surgeon can remove the ribs. Alternatively I can try the nerve burning thing, but that often leads to chronic pain that would be worse than what I have.
