I appreciate any advice after talking to my dr my gallbadder disease is not  considered a pre exsisting condition . its recurrent condition. as far as my back problems I dont think that matters since the president  passed the bill  about insurance denying you or penalizing you for pre -exsisting conditions.

I'm confused by your post. A pre-existing condition is anything you've been treated for in the past, at least if you're talking about insurance company rules. Now there's usually a time limit on it; it may be anything you've been treated for in the past year, past 3 years, past 5 years.....whatever the insurance company decides. Nothing has been passed yet by Congress (in the U.S.) that bans that practice, and if it is it likely won't go into effect right away. The President doesn't pass legislation, the Senate and House of Representatives do that. The President can sign it into law, veto it, make changes and send it back to Congress for reconsideration, etc., but because a President proposes something doesn't make it law. Just FYI.

PaLady is correct. There have not been any laws passed regarding health care or health insurance. The House and Senate have both passed bills addressing this but before anything can be sent to the President a single bill must be passed by both the House and Senate.

Also PaLady is correct in that doctor talk and insurance company talk can be two different things.

With that said, some insurance companies have done away with their pre-existing condition clauses in anticipation of some kind of health reform being made into law.
