I got myself a lawyer yesterday for my SSDI appeal, now I have to wait again. He said that it will be around 3 months before you hear of a decision on the appeal and that only about
10% of people filing will get approved at the reconsideration part. He had me go ahead and sign paperwork ahead of time to move onto the ALJ phase in case I am one of the 90% that get denied on the appeal.
He did say that with my medical condition that I definately do show reason for being disabled. The law firm I hired only gets paid if I win and will be paid from any back pay I have coming to me. The amount allowed by SS is 25% up to $6,000.
I'll let you all know when I hear something.
