Why are we here? I suppose that sounds like a mighty dumb question but I'll bet there are nearly as many answers as there are members. We come for support and to support others.
Okay Miss Chutz! Ill tell ya, but no laffing!
Towards the end of my time in therapy with the pain psychologist, she suggested I join a support group. There wasnt much for people with progressive adult spinal deformities (mostly just children). So, she suggest I join one online. I then joined scoliosis association. But, they fought constantly over there! Bracing vs. surgery debate was visicious! It just wasnt a place I felt comfortable, or where menbers respected one another!
Then I found healing well via Peters MySpace page. I joined and I was welcomed with open arms. I now come here for...well my life. I am blessed no doubt and my life is so rich and full now. If I am sad, happy, or my heart is heavy or even elated, I come here to my friends / family. Healing well has become my certianty in an uncertian future. No matter where this journey takes me, I have help, love and support. And that makes all the difference!
I want so much to talk about all the ways my life has been filled with joy since I came here! But, I am afraid I have to go pretend to take a shower (showering is funny here! you CAN shower, but you ll be drenched with humidity the moment you stepp out!!!) miss you all so much!
*warm huggs*
