Hellow Peeps & Fam's!!
Yes, I finally talked to our own sweet Dani today who is now safely in Fla. w/ her family. She told me that as soon as she got off the plane the humidity grabbed her and she couldn't believe the difference between here and New Mexico! She said "It sure is HOT here!"

Since my wife works weekdays and she is the horse expert around here, we made plans for her and her family to come down to my place on Sunday, I think they are going to see the mouse (most of us say "rat" here in Fla.) on Sat. OK, for those of you who didn't get it> Walt Disney World = Mickey Mouse!

I took my friend Jack who is staying w/ us, for a cruise up the Withalahoochi River the other day in my boat. It's a very wild and senic river through the jungle and only about 15 minutes from my house. We were fishing a little but the water was 90~91 degrees and the fish don't bite very well when it's that warm so we or should I say I only caught a couple mudfish or bowfins which are a prehistoric fish that fight like hell but don't taste very good. The reason I'm telling y'all about my river trip is I'm thinking about taking Dani, her hubby and the kids for a little boat ride there??? Jack and I saw alot of gators in the river and Dani mentioned wanting to see some of dem dare holamogators! Most were small> under 8' and a couple chased our lures across the water twards the boat. They would be easy to catch on a lure but who in the world would want to unhook one? It's illegal to catch one out of season w/o a licence anyway! Anyway just because Jack and I didn't see a dino (big gator) doesn't mean they are not there! I've seen monsters in the river!

We'll have to wait and see if they want to go see them. But my wife Lisa has a surprise for the kids! Both horses are in good health and ridable and she wants to put them both in the saddle and lead them around the pasture if it's OK w/ Dani?? I know that both Rose & Tessa love horses!! If not maybe they can just get up on them for a minute or two??

So thats the plan so far. I just can't wait to meet them!!! I know I'm a lucky man to get the opertunity to meet such a wonderful person!!!!! Our new Moderator to boot!!!

So jealous, I'd love to see those alligators too. Not so found of horses but the river sounds amazing. Also jealous of meeting Dani and family.

Hi Pet,

It sounds like you've got a great adventure planned for Dani & her girls. It sounds like a lot of fun! I hope you two enjoy yourselves & are able to forget about your aches and pains if only for a moment.

Oh you are so lucky to to meet our marvelous Dani. I love her so. We have had some wonderful chats online. I hope she is feeling well enogh to be able to enjoy herself.
Have a blast and tell us all about it. Take lots of pics ok.

Absolutley Awesome Pete !!!!! I think the Idea of walking the girls around while their on horseback is great , they'll love it and I'm sure Dani will enjoy watching her girls expierence something so special , good job !!! And yes I'm still jealous of you getting to meet sweet Dani and her family !! So please take some great photos to post and enjoy yourselves to the max ! I think we all are green with envy, Pete! lol...but seriously, no one deserves a fun trip and a great time more than Dani does! She's been through so much and yet keeps a happy smile and sweet temperament when I know I would have collapsed under the weight of it all.

I'm mighty sure she'd be all for putting those little ones on the horses. Golitho can have those gators, I'd just like to ride a horse again. If I come down Pete, would your wife lead me around too?...lol It's a mighty long trip from WA state! and YES, it's still raining here...

Give Dani and her gang our love and if anyone comes near Washington state I always have the welcome mat out!

  Oh gosh! I'm so blessed! Who could ask for more?!

 

  We are having a blast and I have noticed a few thing while here!

 

1. "meal times" out here usually last 3 to 4 hours! Its an all day event!

2. Everyone says "Hi" and wants to know "howya dooooiinnn?"

3. stopping by someones house "real quick" is code for "6hr sweet tea & gossip chat"

4. I LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!!!

P.S. We are SOOOOOOO excited to finally meet Pete! Little Rosie is just sure she will be able to take her long lost friend "rosie the wonder hound" home with her!

Dani, Just wait till Little Rosie meets Rose! Then she's realy gonna want to take her home! Her mother was a cocker spaniel and father was a coon hound but she looks just like a Lab puppy! She is 5 years old and people still think she's a lab puppy! She has a puppy face! She and Tessa might want to bring ElDorado or Miss lily home too! (the horses) or Angie & Ponyboy (the parots) and surely Princess PopishkaHanna Vonclambelly! (the kitty)
We can't wait till you come to visit either! It sounds like it's the "talk of H.W.C.P. world!!! Everyopne knows your coming to visit us and they are all so envious!!! I knopw if you were going somewhere else, I'd be jellous too! It's been pretty hot the past couple days hasn't it? But it's still cool in the morning and evning, that doesn't happen in the heat of summer!!

My friend Jack finally left yesterday! It was a nice visit but he was here for a week and our fighting was getting out of control! Time to leave Jack! So today I went out fishing w/ this old retired Navy Chief who is a cancer survivor. A real nice old guy who loves to talk! He did more storytelling than fishing! He hqas a nice boat, much bigger than mine.b We didn't catch any eating fish but had fun catching junkfish which included a 3' garfish, blowfish, jacks, catfish, toadfish, lots of trout that were too small and a cobia whicjh was around 6lbs but not big enough to keep. Too bad, they are great eating! They have to be 33" and mine was about 26".

Anyway, I'll see you Sunday!!!
