Hello everyone! I hope this Monday morning has brought each of you a little less pain and a lot more to smile about
!
I had a call this morning from my case manager for my disability claim thru work .She wanted to get an update on where things stood, how I was feeling, if there were any changes, etc. I told her my doctor and I continue to work out medications that help with the pain, etc. and that I was also still waiting for an appointment date with the surgeon, to determine if I need surgery on my hip or not.
I told her that when I spoke to this doctor's receptionist/nurse, she told me that he triages his own cases - this doctor likes to go through the various cases presented to him and then he picks the one(s) he's most interested in at the time and makes the appointments for them...so there's no real rhyme or reason for getting in there. My case manager then asked me if I would like her to try and put some pressure on the surgeon to see me, so we can figure out next steps for my disability.
I was so happy when she asked me that and so thankful...I told her absolutely yes...if she could do anything to get me an appointment date, I would be so grateful. I want to know if my hip pain can be fixed, thereby HOPEFULLY fixing the chronic pelvic pain. If it does that, fantastic. If it doesn't, then at least I have no more hip pain and we keep trying to find things that help with the pelvic pain.
Anyways, I'm excited that maybe I'll get some info soon...I just want to move on and deal with everything else health-wise as best I can.
Pam
