Hi RM, I don't know if you'll get a chance to read this before the surgery, sorry I missed replying earlier. I know what you mean with reception staff, they're for the birds half the time. You say school hours and they say 8am or 3pm orsome time not at all school hours inclusive! Obviously don't have kids.
Look best of luck with this surgery, often its the pre worries that are worse than the reality. I know when I'm in the moment I'm a lot more capable than when I'm thinking of it all. I really hope this is the case for you. Having your PM involved has got to be a good thing, he will know how to position you surely, but hopefully will fill you up with muscle relaxers and pain killers to ease you through the other side.
I was really concerned last year when I had to have my ovaries removed and come off my RA meds to have the surgery but I was fine, I flew through it all. They gave me amazing pain relief and follow up pain relief until my meds kicked back in again.
I have my fingers crossed that all will go well, best of luck, golitho
