Nervous about surgery on Thursday

Hi,

I am hopefully going to get rid of my anal pain!  Sounds so gross...sorry about that.  But at least this will be gone and then I will just have "hopefully" my chronic tummy pain.  I go in Thursday morning for a Fissurectomy.  It should be a rather simple, outpatient surgery.  Just praying it takes away that pain! 

Has anyone had this?  I know I should probably post this in the Crohns forum, but I get more response from all you great people!!!

Hi. I don't know anything about the surgery you are having or much about crohns but I did want to wish you good luck. It's normal to be nervous about surgery but remember that anything that can help your situation is a good thing. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that your pain goes away after your recovery. Take care and remember to breath. It will help ease your body and mind. Lisa

Hi there!

I know a little bit about the surgery you're having, and I wanted to wish you good luck. I hope it resolves some pain issues for you, so you can get back to "normal" as soon as possible...whatever "normal" looks like for you.

I hope you have a quick and relatively pain free recovery and that you can check off one more thing on the "illness to be dealt with" list.

Thanks Lisa, Mikel and Pam...I am sure it will be ok! Just being "under" makes me nervous for whatever reason! but its all good- I have been thru much worse! Thanks for the kind words!

I know nothing about your surgery, but I just wanted to wish you the best of luck! I hope that it is successful and not too painful! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow & saying a prayer that everything goes well.

KRW, I will be thinking of you tomorrow as you undergo your surgery. I am having a minor procedure done today and might not make it here later to wish you well.

You'll be in my prayers...I hope everything is extremely successful, and you'll have a great recovery with no pain!
