looking for Pain pump doctor in North California

I am on Medicare and I have a morphine pump I am looking for a good doctor in North California.(Fresno area)Can anyone help me with a name of a good doctor.I am moving to California from Florida.I`m sick and tired of being in pain 24/7

We have a great forum, and the members here are wonderful! There are several members here with Pumps, so you should find out information on them when needed. Hopefully a member will be along and can direct you to a PM who handles them in your area of CA.

Hi PainMan and welcome to Healing Well's chronic pain forum. I am sorry that you have to be here but glad that you found the forum. One thing about coming here is you find you are not alone when suffering with CP, as it has a way of making us feel that way at times.

I am sorry that I cannot help you with the dr situation in Ca. I too have a pain pump and I know how hard it is to find another dr willing to take an existing pump patient on. I don't know if it is a legal situation or what, I just know they make it very difficult for us. One thing I suggest is going online to the maker of your pump and see if they have a list of drs. I do know Medtronics has a list of drs on their web site. You do know you will need a referral from another dr too. Have you spoken to your current pump dr about this situation? He may know of some drs that may take you on as a patient. I would not make a move anywhere without having a new pump dr on board. I wish you the best in this search.
