Vanessa is in Surgery! :) Need Prayers!

Hello CP members!

I just got word that Vanessa is in Surgery! They found a set of Lungs for her! :) Her boyfriend will be updating Pebbles125 and I, and we will let you all know any news as soon as we hear!

She is a pretty sick little girl, and the surgery will be a difficult one to say the least. I'm hoping that Pebbles will chime in here as she may know more than I do. They are pretty close friends!

Please say a prayer for her! Please!

I do realize that Vanessa is a minor, and have gotten permission from her Parent to post updates as we receive them. Its going to be a long night!

OK here is the latest! She is out of surgery, and it looks like it went well. She is by no means out of the woods, so we will keep a watch tonight with her parents.

They are now in the recovery room with her, as well as her boyfriend. The next 24hrs are critical for her. I, or Pebbles125 will update when we learn more.

Her parents are very well aware of the HW CP forum and many of the members here, and greatly appreciate all prayers for Vanessa and the family.

I have talked to the boyfriend by text, and he has been by her side almost every night.

Thank you so much for your comments here. I call Vanessa our HW CP poster child, and she is such a sweet and very respectful girl. Very polite to say the least!

The strength this young woman has is unbelievable and still a kind and loving spirit! I believe she has affected each of us in one way or another! What a precious person she is and may the Lord carry her for as long as she needs.  Our prayers are with you!

OK, I talked with her boyfriend this morning and he said she is doing great....they just need her to keep it up.

I will have to second what Pebbles and Catz4 has said about Vanessa. What a joy it has been to know this young woman. Very polite!....unlike so many of today's teens.

She is very mature beyond her years, .......and get this!......she likes and understands us old people!:) ......only talking about myself of course! :)

My sweet little Vanessa. That's what I've been calling her since we

met about two or so months ago. I feel in love with her right away. Easy

to see when she has all those qualities about her that Pebbs has mentioned.

We became friends immediatly, like we had known each other for a long time.

We have had serious and not so serious conversations. I have talked to her as

a friend, a mother and a nurse. We have shared much in the short time we have

met. We have prayed that those lungs would arrive. In fact just the night before,

we had talked about it. I told her I had talked to the big guy up above and that

Van was ready for those lungs any time. Little did I know she was in surgery

getting those lungs. Thank you donor, you have no idea what a wonderful person

your lungs are going to.

I was beside myself after getting the news. It soothed my heart when Ron told me

he was at her side, holding her hand, kissing her hand, keeping watch over her

and he wasn't going anywhere. Well she had told me what a great guy Ron was!!!

Van, you told me you weren't going down without a fight. I know you can do this

girl!! I know you have the strength to get thru this. I believe in you sweetie. I am

here waiting for you so we can chat, so we can watch Survivor together, so

Ron can get that webcam and we can all skype together.

Michael and I skyped for two hours last night watching for news from Ron. Well I

guess more like Michael keeping me company.

Sleep didn't come easy last night as I couldn't stop thinking about my sweet

little Vanessa. I have prayed and prayed and I will keep praying for you sweetie

as long as you need me. We are all standing beside you. There are many who

love you and we know you have the power and strength to do this!!

I love you my sweet little Vanessa!!

                 UPDATE: I just spoke with Ron and all is stable. So this is good!!

                          Keep on praying for our princess!!

                 UPDATE-I just chatted with Vanessa on yahoo chat as well as Pebbles and

                      we just can't believe this young lady. She is strong and courageous.

                     She said she just can't believe how nice it is to breathe without thinking

                      about it!!! She has all her wits about her and she said it won't be long

                        before she has that big syringe in her hand and gets those nurse all wet. LOL

                         She said, those nurses are going down!!!!!  LOL

                         I am in awe and speechless of this young lady!!

                        I continue to pray!!!

Wow Vanessa, it is so nice to hear from you so soon! You are tough as nails! How are you feeling? I bet pretty rough. What an amazing young lady you are. When I think of what you have had to go through in your 16 years, I realize just how strong and amazing you are!

Take good care of yourself and allow your body to heal. We are all still praying for you to have a speedy recovery. Keep us posted ok?
