Hi Memo and welcome to Healing Well's chronic pain forum. I am sorry that you have to be here but glad that you found us. Chondritis is inflammation which can effect the cartilage and also a joint. There are many, many types of chondritis, but overall it boils down to being inflammation of whatever part of the body that is involved. And your dr did give you a script
for the inflammation. You would be wise to get the medication filled and start on it. If you find it seems to not be working all that well, contact your dr and get an appt to go back in and discuss this with him. He can try you on a different type of anti-inflammatory, there are several kinds on the market It is the matter of finding which one works for you the best. It can be a hit or miss type of thing when trying to find a medication to work for a patient. Basically it says this condition can go into remission as quick as it came on.
I also suggest that you get online to one of the reputable web sites and read up on chondritis. The more you know about
your condition the better you can learn how to manage it and deal with it. You will be surprised to read about
how many different types of chondritis is out there.
Anyway, I wanted to pop on and tell you welcome aboard. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
