Hey got an SSDI question

I got a disc of my records from my attorney at our last meeting.  Apparently this disc has everything about my case along with all my medical records on it.  But the problem is, I can't open anything on it.  Did any of you get one of these from your attorney?

These disc's can only be read read on a doctors computer, I had an MRI done and was given a disc of it and tried to read it, and asked my doctor why I couldn't...and was told why.

No the attorney told me that I could read it, but I haven't figured out how. I do have my MRI's as well. I know I can't read them.

I could read mine fine. I got mine directly from the SS ODAR office. They were happy to send it and it was no problem at all. I think I had to open the disc and then open the first file that had .exe to load the program to read it. It may be that they sent you a bad copy.

I've also had MRI's but could read them too after loading the .exe file. I haven't been able to open my xray disc though (from the other day) because of some compatability error.

Hey all!

I want to thank you so much for posting on this. Okay if I open the exe file, I get a popup window that says I need my password. Where do I find that? Hmmm maybe I'll call my attorney's office.

I had the same problem, and our local office burned me another copy and it worked fine. I had just gotten a bad copy

I got what sounds like the same disk but I requested it and had it sent to me from SSD. It was annoying to open, but I eventually got it. There was no password required. I'd call your attorney's office and ask if it was passworded by or for them. You can always ask SSD to send you your own disk. You're entitled. Mine even has the SSD caseworker's notes in it, as well as scanned copies of all of my doc's records. Handy to have!

I have copies of my MRI's and had no problems opening and reading them....Hmmmmm

Well, it seems it won't work for me. I am talking to my attorney on Monday and will get a new copy sent to me. I agree PA that they are handy to have. I have the copies of my last xray's and MRI as well. Funny how we attach ourselves to our records huh?

Sure am glad this pain clinic actually puts everything on disc. It's a heck of a lot easier to look at a disc instead of 40 million pieces of paper. LOL
