Well Hello my Fams, Peeps & any Newbee's that I don't know yet! First let me say I'm sorry I haven't been posting for a while, been in crazy pain, depressed, busy> Y'all know all the excuses!! Anyway, I'm still alive and Hmmmm> not so well> It all hurts so bad Dam it!!> but everyone who knows me, knows that too!!!

So after almost two years I finally heard from my crappy lawyer's office, (never talked to a real lawyer, just a bunch of stupid underpaid girls!) They told me that I finally have the hearing w/ a judge I've been waiting so long for!! May 17th via closed circuit TV or something like that where you talk to the judge through a TV screan and not really in a court room! I reluctantly told them OK when they asked me if I would do this after they told me I wouldn't have to wait as long this way!!!!! They also told me that they (SSD) re examined my case (all the new paperwork & letters from my new Dr's) recently and decided that I wouldn't need any health or work examiners at my hearing, just the judge!! My lawyer girly said thats a good thing cause not having examiners there questioning me means I have a really good case! Hope she's not jerking my chain after all I've gone through so far!!! It's been such a long hard road and if they deny me now, I just don't know what I will do at 58, worthless and at this rate very soon broke!!!

Other than that, no other real news from here! I'm having an awfull time trying to keep up w/ my chores (haven't evan planted my garden yet!) because mostly lower back & neck pain!! I've been struggling w/ the horse poop and the rest of the upkeep around here for a while now. I'm hoping the warmer weather will help me out soon!! Maybe evan some fishin> I can wish???

So thats what's up in Peteworld! Again so sorry for not poking in lately! I have been watching Y'all when I can though and always thinking of and praying for my Fam's> You know who you are!!!!!!!

      I see that the weather is starting to warm up down there, so just maybe the fish are starting to bite now?

Doing house chores really does bother at the time.....it generally bothers me that night or the next day though. Nothing like having a clean house to sit in pain with, heh.

I am however quite mobile with my pain so I should just shuddup and be happy I am still bouncing around :P

Anyhows Pete, I hope you feel better. With the weather getting warmer, fishing should be right around the corner.

Pete you were smart in making the choice on the closed circuit hearing. Otherwise, there is no telling when your hearing would have been scheduled. Florida has a huge backlog of SSD claims waiting for hearings and this is a way to speed up the process. Not every case can be heard this way, you were lucky in being selected.

Hey Pete...

Thanks for the update!  I've been thinking of you and wondering how things were... I'm so sorry you are in so much pain.  I'm there w/ ya and it just sucks. 

I pray that all goes well w/ your SSD, Pete.  I know how important that is... yeah

New here, so you don't know me. @ my hearing I brought letters from my pastor who commented on what she observed in my ability to participate in church. I had my best friend write a letter with her observation on my change in the last 3 years. I brought my husband who talked about times that he had to cover for me in chores and childcare. Times that I "checked out". The fact that he occasionally had to take time out from work to take care of me. That he had tp pull out of school a year to take more care of me/ cover for me when I first got sick.
When dealing with a real person face to face, show the non-medical results tha a medical chart isn't going to show. Have you ever had to hire someone to cover chores that you should be doing? How often have you not done an activity that you told others you would do? Have you gotton rid of things (like a horse or something) because you could no longer take care of it? Bring documentation or a wittness of that.

Thank you for all your support my dear friends!! My pain doc is finally going to do a nerve test on my hands which I hope will be the nail in the coffen for my SSD hearing. My hands have gotten so bad lately it's very disheartening as I have trouble with little things like holding the steering wheel while driving and so many other things we normally don't evan think about. My hands just go numb, like they are asleep and all the feeling stops! I had been tested for carpol tunnel a long time ago (over 10 years) and had it real bad then so I know I have it. Also the arthritis is getting worse w/ bumps growing on my fingers just like my Grandmother had. OK, I'll stop whining now.
Thanks again to everyone who replied to me. Heck I thought Y'all would have forgotten me by now!!!

Hi Pete! Fought a 2 year battle with SS as well and finally saw an ALJ in hearing that took less then 5 minutes? Go figure. It did give me a chance before the hearing to review my file and it was no wonder they were dragging their feet. There were so so many reports that were not obtained and were not in my file that it certainly would have made me have to look long and hard at giving myself SSD.

Unfortunately you cant review it until hearing so I have informed others filing since me to obtain copies of every single appt,procedure,test result,lab,office follow-up whatever themselves and forward to the claims folks. Leaving it up to them to get them? Well they dont.

I also went to my congressman for a expediated hearing date as I had waited so so long an was literally running out of resources to raise my kids on with the 5 year limit on welfare and all my WC award long ago spent. I have to say he helped as I had not even obtained a hearing date at that point and after filing out the needed forms for that office I had a hearing date of 2 months. Dont know if that was actually his doing or if it was just my turn but it seemed like it was heaven sent.

Heres wishing you lots of luck and hopefully your journey is coming to a close, a good one as well.

Keeping all my fingers and toes, as well as my kitty's toes (she has 24 of 'em after all) crossed that everything goes in your favor and you don't have to deal with this anymore!!
