Hi all~

Hubby and I are stealing away for a few days and will be out of contact with reality, if I can help it...lol Actually we are headed to our favorite beach to just rest and have some 'alone time'. Something we haven't had in a very long time. We have a 19 year old grandson who lives with us and 3 little grandchildren living next door so life is never quiet nor private at home.

I should be back Monday evening to check in.

Home safe and sound. Thanks for the sweet wishes!

It rained like a cow peeing on a flat rock the entire time and I loved every minute of it. The sound of rain on the roof of our trailer is soothing to me and one night the wind set us to rocking for several hours. Storms at the beach are the best. I pack my 'toys' (books and sewing machine with supplies) and I'm set for some real R&R.

Glad you made it home safely....and glad you had a good time.  One of my favorite places in the world is the beach - and I know what you are saying about the rain/wind rocking you to sleep.  I love that, too.  In fact, it makes me crave getting away right now!  It's been way too long....

Anyway glad you are home and that you had a good time.

Glad to hear you had a great time at the beach. We got into the motorhome phase and ran around the country side with a group of couples like a band of gypsies, lol. We were a sight to behold because we dragged our jeeps and sea doo's behind the motorhomes. We had a great time and saw some really neat places. The best time for me was when it would rain. Our last motorhome had a rubber roof and it was awesome to hear the rain hit on it, I could sleep like a baby in that thing. I honestly think the only times in my life that I truly relaxed was when we took off in that thing and got out of dodge, lol.

Makes me almost wish we hadn't sold the last one, but 7 miles to the gallon in gas just not quite good enough mileage to justify it in my mind. That is the downside to motorhomes, rotten gas mileage.

I didn't even see where you were going away. lol but I am glad that you had a good time and are back home safe. I've never been to a beach, but I've wanted to go to one ever since I can remember. You take care and make sure to get all the sand and water out of your shoes lol.

I know that feeling. We have a spot in a campground and every weekend from April 15 to Oct 15 we are there. With the exception of this year as next weekend is opening, but I have surgery on the 13th. So it might be awhile before I get up there. We are going to sneak a night in this weekend and hook things up so when we get there for real, we can turn the water on and enjoy. I love sitting on my deck and reading looking at the humming birds and my flower garden there. I may do some of my recovery there in awhile.
