To CrohnsPatient, one of the reasons my Pm doctor didnt immediately increase my meds is that although I have been on the same meds for almost 4 years, I have only been seeing this PM doctor for not quite a year.
When my original doctor took a new and better job in Dec 2006 I had been seeing him since 1991. When he left he gave me three months worth of prescriptions, because I think he knew how difficult It was going to be to replace him. He had know idea how much difficulty it would actually be.
By the time I found the PM doctor I have know, I had been through 3 of the most worthless PM doctors in a 3 state area. The 3rd doctor i went to was great but after a little over a year of being treated again like a human being, this group of PM doctors moved there practice out of the area, It was so out of the area I could not get there using Public transportation, which is how I get everywhere.
So the 4th PM doctor along with the first, second and well the 4th doctor i am speaking of right now, were in the PM doctor care because they are cash cows, sometime around the late 90s and early 2000, so many PM doctors sprang up in every place you could find. This is a very lucrative business, bringing in millions of money to these PM doctors. So after weeding through so many of these greedy, could care less what was really going on with my body, if finally found the PM doctor I have know.
He is the 5th and I hope last PM doctor I am going to have, my very first appt. with him I know right away he is a humanitarian, another doctor just like my original doctor. He took his oath very seriously and treated me with respect and caring I had not seen in many years. So because he is looking out for my best interest, I am willing to wait one more month to increase my meds, which I know is what needs to be done. I understand that he would want to try something else at least for a month instead of just handing me more meds without trying something else first.
Now believe me I know my meds need to go up. I live in this body, I more than anyone know how I feel, and I am confident when I see him on June 1st, I will get what I need to make my quality of life better. So for this month I will be patient and on June 1st I know I will get the meds I need so that I can have a life with as little pain and possible. Thank you so much for your concern, I feel you have been down a bad road of PM and other doctors that are in the business for the millions of money that can be made in this type of business. Hoping you are having a low pain day and for that matter I am hoping you are having more low pain days than bad days.
thank you for your very sincere concern, you have know idea how much I apprecitate it.
