Before I found the pm doc I have now, I went through some real crazies. The one doctor I remember the most also had a waiting room always packed, 25-30 people, heres the thing, none of us in that waiting room waited over 5 min before seeing the "doctor".
This man was a retire neurosurgeon, the business of pm was taking off. He was nothing more than a cash cow. I had no problem with that until I injured myself in a fall. He did business like this, when you walked into his office, he already had your prescriptions ready, asked how you were, and out the door. I am so serious 5 min, tops.
When I had a new injury, then it became a big problem, he did not really want to do anything more than what he was doing. He increase my meds, but it didnt stop the pain, as it turned out I had neuropathy, which was making my right leg feel as if it were on fire, and my right foot numb. Finally I ended up in the er having overdosed on my meds, trying to get rid of the pain. I got rid of the doctor. Found another pm doctor who after a series of 3 shots, my leg no longer burned, my foot is still numb and always will be, that I can live with.
Take care, hope all are doing well.
