I have been in extreme Pelvic and Bladder Chronic Pain. Its wearing me down for sure. It hurts 24/7, it wakes me during the nite, it is painful sitting, laying, walking...
Here is a little background...I have had 2-Bladder Lifts, 1-when I had abdominal hysterectomy (2004)...Then in 2009 my colon tore thru the vaginal wall and colon and bladder fell out of my body, vaginal vault lift surgery. Then my intestines quit functioning this year and I had to have a Loop ileostomy in May. I saw a 3rd-Urogynecologist a week ago. He said that my pelvic and bladder have been thru trauma and dysfunction. Everything in pelvis and bladder is in a constant spasm.
I'm supposed to begin pelvic floor physical therapy (biofeedback), Dr. wants me going 8-12 times a week, which seems impossible to do. I've read on this type of therapy and there sure seems that a lot of the physical therapy involves attaching electrodes inside vagina and rectum. Apparently several similar other things like that to go thru. To tell you the truth I am not looking forward to it. 8-12 times a week for at least 3-months sounds impossible to do.
They said absolutely no meds would work for my kind of pain, However, I had some pain meds from a previous surgery and I took them and it took away the pain. I sent my Dr. an email this afternoon begging for some help. I don't know what to do if she won't try anything. I am very worried about my sobriety as I am 314 days sober, and my drinking before was due to the horrible pain I was in. I absolutely cannot go down that road again.
So, if anyone can say some prayers for me I would greatly appreciate it. Or if you're familiar with the pelvic physical therapy I would love to get some info on what you thought of it.
Thank you for letting me ramble on. (((Hugz))) 2 all...
