Loretta,

Just checking on you and seeing how you are doing.  I remember reading a post from you somewhere that your pain was way up... and that it was hot your way....

How's your pain?  How are you feeling??

Did you get the A/C?  How's the weather been?

Anyway, just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you and hoping you are doing ok.

Nice to "meet" you smilewinkgrin Feel free to call me Tina, as there are lots of "moms" on the board!  But whatever works! .... Wow, you've got lots of kiddos, too!  And grandkids, too.... That's wonderful. 

I've been married going on 18 years.  We have six boys - ranging from 16 down to 7... and then were "surprised" by miracle identical twin daughters last September (so they are almost 10 months old - I can't believe that). 

I've been a member here for almost 3 years now!  Wow.  I can hardly believe that, either!  I found this site right as I was going in for my pain pump trial.... and was immediately welcomed and supported.  And I've made some very good friends here, too.

My home internet has been down, but it is up now. wink ……so Yes!…Loretta…how are you doing? I know that your pain levels were up, and you have been way too quite.

I do the same…and don't feel like visiting when Im feeling that bad. We hope your doing well.

Give us a shout and let us support you if you can. I was thinking you had a Dr appointment yesterday, but not sure.

Thank you for thinking of me Tina and the rest of you who have replied. It's way too hot and humid here :( It is 95 right now and feels hotter. Jerome and I went out Tuesday to Walmart to get an air conditioner, but the 2 they had wouldn't fit our window. We're going to have to find a portable one on the Walmart website and have it sent here. I had went on their website on Monday night and all of the window type won't fit.

Our windows are weird. Instead of opening up and down, they open side to side. I think it will be impossible to get one that will fit in the window, so a portable one is all I can think of. They are more expensive than the window ones too.

My patch came off completely Tuesday while we were out and I had to buy scissors and tape to put it back on. I went to the pharmacist there and she recommended putting the tape all the way around my arm and I did and it stayed. For those of you that wear patches, there's a good idea for you if you are having a hard time keeping the patch on. I had the Tegaderm over it, but it was so hot it didn't stay.

I changed my patch today, and if starts trying to come off, I will put the tape around my arm.

My pain is horrible. I have been really struggling in this heat. We went to Tim Hortons and McDonalds yesterday for a few hours to cool off. The wind was blowing, and it was a lot better outside than in our apartment.

So, that's where I've been. It's really tough. We bought 2 more fans to go with the 2 we already had, but it doesn't make much difference. I'm hoping we can get an air conditioner here asap. I think it takes about 3-4 days.

I've gotta go now and see what I can find. You all take care. I sure hope and pray that you all are having a low pain day and evening/night. I love you all my dear family.
