And here I thought I was getting off scott-free this year without getting any 'bugs'. But no such luck. confused I've been down for the last day+ tending to both ends of the 'system', so to speak. Wow, not sure what's going around but two grandchildren (ages 2 and almost 1) have had a very similar thing so just maybe I caught it from them. How can I get upset with those precious little ones?

I've kept down some supper so I'm hoping it's a passing ordeal (pardon the pun). I hope to be back on my feet by sometime tomorrow and post more. Between grandkids, too many Aug. birthdays, company, etc. I'm ready for a vacation. Been way too long but we have 2 weeks scheduled the end of Sept and first of Oct so hopefully we'll have some time for the two of us to hook up the trailer ahd get away. It's our favorite R&R.

So sorry to hear you have the "crud" :) No fun at all! I hope it passes quickly for you. Yep, the little ones will surely bring in those "bugs"....but, like you said, you can't get mad at the sweet little ones.

The girls had their first bout with something a couple of weeks ago - just a minor virus.... and most of us escaped it. Thankfully, all of the kids have been really healthy overall - knock on wood!

Well, I hope you feel better - and fast. Oh, the trip in your trailer sounds so relaxing. Do you still bring your sewing stuff? Those are my favorite type of vacations - in the RV/trailer. I so much prefer having my own stuff..... vs. the hotel thing, etc. And, really, w/ the size of our family - it's the only we can afford to travel w/ everyone. I think I shared at one point that several years ago - we took 6 months and traveled to almost 40 states. It was a life-long dream that I would love to do again - but it was one of those "once in a lifetime" things, I'm pretty sure.

Well, I'm rambling - but I mostly wanted to say - feel better, my friend! Rest, take care of yourself, let others help you..... I know it's hard. Many hugs - Tina

Hello!

I'm so sorry to hear about the crud!!! Yuck!!! I so hate when those things hit. They have already started to give the flu shots here, but my sweet daughter had been to camp and brought home a cold type of crud so we are still recovering from that. We'll have to wait for the flu shot until after we can actually use our noses for breathing again!


Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and to wish you well!!

Momto8kids.......you are one brave cookie! I feel for you with sick baby girls and can't even imagine what it must be like to have so many children that can be sick at one time. Bless you!!

      I have to agree about the little ones!.....sick or not....we cuddle them in close! smilewinkgrin   We just found out that we have another one on the way to baby set! shocked yeah yeah yeah

    My wife and I baby set this first one so much, that when his mother came to pick him up one night....I said "Hey buddy!...Finally!...here is the baby sitter!" That went over like a lead ballon, with his mother....but she got the message! wink

      Chutz!...you wouldn't be spoiling those grandkids..would you! wink   Well!...if you are....it's normal....as we are doing the same thing while their there with us....then we send them home on a sugar high.

      I think our children forget that we are suffering 24/7...and of course it could be our fault just a little....why... who wouldn't,... cuddle and pick up those little bundles of joy?!! Our grandson is very familiar with "PaPa" laying in the bed all of the time.....he doesn't mind though, and loves to scamper right up to the edge....just to freak me out with worry. tongue

      We all hope you get to feeling better soon....and scamper back here quickly where you belong! wink

Chutz, sorry to hear that you've been so unwell, and hope you're on the mend soon. Summer colds are the absolute pits.

Chutz I hope you are feeling better today, it sucks to be sick around the little ones because even though they might have just got over it, they have forgotten that already.

Hello Chutz, I am sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather, its bad enough to be in hot and humind weather, let alone having to deal with "crud".  But you know the babies didnt mean to give it to you.  I love the ages of your grands, mine are 10 and 5, I miss the baby smell, well not all of them. lol

Hope you enjoy your much needed vacation.  You are a brave soul, my idea of camping of any kind is the Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn, etc. you get the picture.  But being and liking different things makes the world go round.

Thanks for all of the kind words! I'm feeling much better today. Lack a bit of energy but otherwise I'm bouncing back fairly quickly. You all have put a smile on my face~~
