surgery date sept 26 ,wow it seems so soon

yes I just found out today the TOS surgery ,where they take the rib out is so soon,after 2 plus yrs of trying everything else ,finally a date ,Iam shocked yet happy ,Inever thought ,it would be so soon ,can't complain !wow I will be able to have a life again soon ?This will be a big adjustment ,Iguess bit by bit Iwill be able to start life again and do all the things Ihave not done for a while .Yes it freaks me out a bit ,yet its a good thing !Ihave so much going through my mind !Iwill stay on here  and post my progress and support others.The people here have been great and Ihave learned so much and realized I'm not alone in how Ifeel on many issues. It will be so nice to be off pain meds !I guess Iam in a bit of shock finally getting a confirmed surgery date.take care eveyone and thanks for the support .from michele

Congratulations Michele. It won't be long now. I know you're excited and nervous, but just think what it will be like when you have the surgery and then get healed. Take care.

How do they do this surgery anyways? sure sounds painful so I hope they give you some good pain

control, esp. when you go home. Take care of yourself until then.
