I dont want to sound like Pollyanna, but stress and depression which to me go hand in hand are very much a part of how the pain is from day to day. I have recently had a rough patch, its been raining and or cloudy and dismall for over a month now. I gotta tell you the humidity and the rain is making my life miserable.
Unfortunately there is no controlling the weather, finally I got so tired of being housebound by the weather I have just had to get out, I have a raincoat with a hood, and off I went. It has been so long since I have walked other small walks or housework. I have had to build up how far I can walk over a period of time. I am on public transportation, the neartest Metro bus stop is about maybe a little more than 1/4 mile from where I live. I can now walk to it, get on a bus, and go see my other daughter or my best friend.
In doing this I have really gotten better on a mental level, when you get out into the world, many times I see people who are so much worse off than I am. This makes me grateful and aware of how bad things could be.
Also, as my kids will tell you, I talk, and I mean I talk, I will start up a converation with anyone unlucky enough to sit next to me on the bus or train. I dont even care if they dont speak english, smiling and nodding is all the encouragement I need.
So yes, I believe a positive mind gives positive vibes to the body. I will stay home today, tomorrow is payday, so I am out of here to spend some money, this to gives me great pleasure.
