Well it's here, today i have my appt. at Emory. I should learn about the ct scan and also what's going to happen with this tumor i have on my salivary gland and hope he'll address the thyroid nodules too. I'll post later after my appt. with an update. Thanks for everyones support, God Bless ya!!!

I saw my dr. on friday and he said my ct scan wasn't clear that for whatever reason the scan came back cloudy. I'm wondering what would make a ct come out cloudy thats a first for me i don't understand and the dr didn't seem to have an answer for it either. So now i'm going to have to have another mri, but i'd rather him have a clear pic of whats going on and what he'll have to do. He did say that there's tumor there and he's still planing on the surgery being this month.He did give me a few details of my upcomming surgery.He's going to have to dislocate my jaw to get to the area where the tumor is and for me not to be alarmed when i come out of surgery that i'll have a suction drain in place.So i'm really anxious now and dread all that needs to be done.I'll update when i learn more, i hope you all are having lpd and getting the rest you need. Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers i really appreciate it. Emory clinic called today and set up my mri and pre op for the 10th. They also gave me a surgery date 10/20/11 so if i can keep my nerves in tack ti'll then i'll be doing good. Hope everyones having some lpd's !

I've been thinking about you lately, and wishing peace for your upcoming surgery.

I hope the MRI shows things well, and he can do surgery knowing exactly what he's up agains.

Aunt Kay,
Trust in your doctors, and in knowing that you are doing the best thing that you can to find a way to fix yourself so that you can live a better life. Trust in your surgical team to hold your best interests at heart and to have skilled and steady hands.
Trust in us to be waiting for news of your return to good health.......I know that the days before an upcoming surgery are nerve wracking to say the least but we will be here to support you, to care about you and to wait for news about your progress.
You'll do fine and your surgeons will be skilled and sure in taking care of the problems.
Oh, the reason a CT scan might come out cloudy is the film or you may have unintentionally moved a tiny bit which can blur the images.
I've done it in MRI's and CT scans both........

Hi Kay~~

Just wanted to stop in and give you a warm, gentle hug!{{HUG}} When I have something coming up that worries me I try hard to keep busy so not to focus my thoughts on it. It's so easy to tell someone yet so hard to do. I will keep you in my prayers asking for a speedy recovery and no and no problems during the surgery.
