I have a new, escalating pain. It feels like an ovarian cyst on steroids, a deep, hot stabbing that goes down my leg and spreads heat through my right side at the pelvis and through the groin. PM doc says ER. Surgeon made me an appointment for Monday. I don't think I can make it to Monday.

I got a notice today by email of the necessity of me appearing in court tomorrow at 9 am. My ex husband and sons father had decided not to pay support again, and not report his address or wages to domestic relations. Add the failure to appear in court, and he has been picked up on a bench warrant I think. Either way, last minute posting to me to be at court tomorrow to sit on the hard, wood benches that are at a 90 degree angle from seat to back. No idea how long it will take either. The court calls them in no specific order.

I can barely walk, let alone appear in court for his actions right now. How do I pull this off?

Going to the ER causes so much stress. What if the doctor is not sympathetic? Oh the anxiety this causes. I can't take anymore. Between our roof leaking and needing replaced, one of my cats is old and seems to be going downhill, my husband has job issues and is desperately seeking new employment, my pain and ER issue, and court, I am holding on to the knot at the end of my rope for dear life.

Sorry about the vent, I just need to get it out before my husband comes home.

Hey Mindy...I wish I had some words of wisdom to offer but sadly, I don't.  Life can get really tough sometimes.  Just try to stay positive (I know MUCH easier said them done).  My thoughts and prayers are with you! :)

Hi Mindy, can you get a wheelchair for the court?  You really need to go, your child deserves the financial support that he is supposed to be getting each month, and I am sure you could use the help also.  Worst case, he goes to jail, but oh well, either pay what you know you need to pay for your child or suffer the consquences.

I have no sympathy for dead beat parents, my daughter has been going back and forth to court to get her oldest child support for a year now.  The children did not just appear from the stork, people need to get the financial help they need for the children they helped bring into this world.

Ok enough of that, sorry I just posted to Forgotten and got a little carried away.

I am sorry you are feeling so bad, I have no idea how to help that, except to let you know I will be praying for you, lighting candles and sending good vibes your way.  Please take care and good luck to you.  You just handle one thing at a time, then go on to the next.

Mindy, I hope you were able to make it to court. Did you end up going to the ER? I hope you find a way to make it through the weekend and go to your appointment Monday. (((Mindy)))

Mindy, if you can, look up reviews for hospitals in your area and when you speak to the nurse, explain that this is per instruction and order of your PM doctor. Each time you speak with a doctor or medical staff you kind of have to drive the point home that "hey I'm here under my doctor's request".

When I went to the ER several months ago (I had a sciatica flare up so bad I literally couldn't stand up to walk, it was pretty pathetic for a 31 year old....thankfully I'm back to power walking and bouncing around, albiet with pain spikes recently), I had the doctor coordinate with my PM and from the nurse to the PA to the doctor I explained to please cordinate with my PM.

It worked out well as after talking with the Spine Center, they were able to use duiladad injections to get my pain under control. The doctor told me she was glad I had explained my pain management and all medications given.

The problem is, not all doctors are this rational, sympathetic and caring. I've had a host of experience dealing with military doctors that just thought ibuprofen and 24 hours rest cured everything (this is years ago when I was actually in the military). Other military doctors were wise enough and sympathetic enough to arrange for epidural steriod injections, an MRI, and prescription medications.
