Hello ALL! I am new to the site and looking for some relief, answers, help, encouragement, etc. I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis about four years ago. I have undergone several surgeries, treatments & medications to control my endometriosis. Last week I went in for another surgery because I had been complaining of this horrible pain on my lower right side and experiencing continuous bleeding. My doctor is amazing! He performed a D & C, removed all the endometriosis and he found some scar tissue that was located where my appendix was taken out a few years ago. He said he wanted to look around everywhere else just to be safe. He found like this large lump underneath my right ribcage, by my lung and liver. He said he believes that this is not related to the pain I was experiencing on my lower right side, that pain was all from the scar tissue he found. I am freaking out because he doesn't know what it is and he left it in there. He wants me to go see this ultrasound specialist for him to look at it and get his opinion and what it could be. I have experienced some pain for the past few months or so when I breathe but nothing drastic. I have lost like over ten pounds in the past two months also but I also think that can calculate into the stressful job and life I have. I didn't want to overthink things too much but when I saw the pictures he took of this lump and my mind got racing, I went online and start researching. The first few things that I came across where lung and liver cancer. Does anyone have any insight? I am going to set up an appointment with this ultrasound specialist and go from there. I did research this doctor and I am very impressed with him. Thank you!

Hi Miracle and welcome to Healing Well's chronic pain forum. I am sorry that you have to be here but very glad that you found us.

First off, as hard as its going to be you need to try and relax and regroup. Wearing yourself out about the unknown will not do you any good at all. The stress and strain you are putting your body through is not good either. Try to remain as positive as you can, this may turn out to be nothing and lets hope that is exactly how it does turn out. But until you are able to get answers from your drs, please try to calm yourself down.

Anyone here will tell you that the unknown will absolutely wear a person out and down if they are not careful. Also, please keep in mind none of us are drs here and we only speak from our own personal experiences.

I can tell you I lost my mother to lung cancer and it is like a silent killer so to speak, my mother had no pain. Hers was caught by chance only, perhaps if she would have had some symptoms it could have been caught a lot earlier.I thought she would have had all of this pain and her oncologist set me straight about that.

I am very glad to hear that your dr seems to be on top of your endo, I know how painful that disease can be for a person. Sounds like you have an excellent dr in your corner and that means a lot.

I would suggest that until you know exactly what you are dealing with here I would stay off the internet trying to read about stuff that may not even apply to you. about all it is going to do is upset you more and you really don't need that.

Anyway, I wanted to pop on and tell you welcome aboard and to please slow down and get yourself pulled together. Sure don't want to make yourself sick from stress. Take care and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Hi, I am Kathy/nini, I dont know about you, but the minute I read symtoms of some dreaded disease, I get them, then I am sure I have whatever disease I have just read about.

I agree, dont overthink, I hope and pray it will not be the worst of the worst.  I will pray that you will find there is nothing, but maybe scar tissue at the worst.

Hi Miracle Welcome to our chronic pain forum. I'm glad you found us, but sorry that pain brought you here.

The others have given you some really good advice. I would also suggest not reading about all these things that it could be. Take care.
