I wanted to pass on something I have tried just in the past couple of days that worked for sore muscles. Tiger Balm Pain Patches. I have messed up my right shoulder pretty bad from lifting while working in my yard this past summer. The house behind me has a big silver leaf maple that is shedding its leaves and they go right into my swimming pool. I am out there several times a day skimming them out to avoid the pump getting burned up. Its a chore I don't mind telling you. Because of this extra work its killing this shoulder and has the pain increased ten fold. I have terrible muscle spasms that go all the way down to my fingers. I take 10mg of Baclofen every 4 hours for the spasms and it really helps. On top of that my shoulder is very tender and sore to touch. I put one of those patches on last night, early evening and took it off this morning. I cannot believe how much they have helped with the sore area. I have already slapped another one on. I have been out there twice today skimming leaves some more so naturally it started hurting. I have used Tiger Balm at least a good 10 years, maybe longer, a massage therapist used this on me when I was in PT. It has always helped with the soreness, especially when my knees and hips are sore and hurting.
I got these at Walgreens 5 patches in a box for I believe $8.99. So if any of you ever get sore spots you may want to give this a try, the patches are new to me, but not the jar the rub comes in.
I had planned to buy a leaf net on Ebay and messed around and missed the boat on getting one ordered that will fit my pool. I can save a lot of money getting one on Ebay rather than the local pool supply store. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
