I get SSD- Social Security Disability
No appeals, no attorney's , was approved the first time I applied
Medical conditions- Cauda Equina Syndrome, failed back surgery x 2, neuropathy effecting legs, bowels, bladder, and ability to walk, stand and sit, RSD-right shoulder, arm and hand
Age at approval - 35
I found that having all of my records, complete information for my treating physicians, medication history, treatment history, etc all made getting the approval through the first time. I also made copies of all of the documents and kept one set in case something came up missing. I applied in person, having all of the paperwork with me and did all of it in the local office.
I was told that the reason my approval came through so fast was because of the completeness of the medical information, supporting test results and reports, and that everything was in order. The woman at the office said that many times , applications are rejected because of incomplete medicals, or the failure on the part of the treating physicians, hospitals, etc in replying for requests for information.
