Hey guys. I hope you all have had a somewhat painless day.
I have recurrent shoulder dislocations. I had surgery in November. In Jan I had a seizure and retore all the work they did in surgery. Since then, my shoulder has been coming out more than before surgery. I am not able to put in back in myself and alway end up being put to sleep, after hours of waiting in the ER. this is getting really old. Also, even when my shoulder is not out of place, I am in a lot of pain all day.
My surgeon does't want to do surgery again. Plus, he is not a nice person at all.
Because I have state insurance, there isn't another ortho in my area. I am willing to drive though if nessesary. I just don't know if I have surgery again, will the same thing happen if I have another seizure.
Plus, this surgery was one of the worst I've ever had.
I just can't keep going to the hospital. Also, i have so much trouble with IV's they had to put in a femeral line the other day just to do sedation.
I am going to get a referal next week for another opinion, I'm just afraid of more surgery.
Does anyone else have experience with dislocations??
