I got home yesterday morning
It was going to be today but the doctor decided to give me early release (LOL) - all my inflammatory markers are dropping as they should, and he wanted to get the CVC out asap as it had started to become painful and was looking quite bruised and bloody so he didn't want to take risks with it. My CRPS pain was increasing pretty dramatically too - to the point that 10mg oxycodone every 4 hours, on top of my oxycontin, isn't doing much. Got lots of 'rescues' in place anyway if I need them (which I'm hoping means I won't!) - the ward number, I can go back to emergency, seeing my GP on Monday - and the doctor who was treating me has also given me his direct mobile phone number and told me to call him if anything flares up over the weekend or I'm just not going right.
It's just left me feeling very flat - you know that feeling of exhaustion where you don't even want to lift your arms or legs. I spent yesterday vomiting because I tried to eat 'normally' for me after no proper food in hospital (would've been okay if not for a stupid dietician who kept mixing protein supplements in my food - which irritate my stomach and make me vomit). Stupid woman even vitamised my
porridge (oatmeal). I don't know if you guys have "Clag" - the safety glue/paste that little school kids use... but I reckon this would have been a pretty good substitute. Only grey...
Hopefully I'll be back on deck properly in the next week or so.
