Hey, Pete..How are you doing? you've been gone for awhile now and I hope no one minds
me asking where you are...How are the boys and how's the new DIL? Hope you had a good Christmas...

Hey Pete,

It's very good to hear from you again.  It's so nice for you to support your children in protecting our country!  I appreciate their service and I honor your support of them as a parent.

I wanted to drop some info on the feet and hands things because I have been going through them too.  I had the bi-lateral carpel tunnel surgery a while back.  There is a really good surgeon in Savannah (which is probably fairly close to you).  I would never let one do it who wasn't known as an actual hand surgeon!!  Everybody thinks they can do it, but I held out for the actual hand surgeon and the results were better than expected.  Don't get me wrong, I waited too long to have it done and have some permanent damage, but the pain and some (maybe most) of the numbness is gone from the hands.  I still drop things and have less strength than I should.  One hand is also weaker than the other.

Regarding the feet.....OMG am I with you there.  Mine ended up being diagnosed as adult onset flat feet, tarsel tunnel syndrome, tibular tendonitis, and plantar facitis (sp?).  It was HORRIBLE before I got treatment and it is still pretty bad now.  It is essential that you get a pair of dorsal night splints (and they are all different, so get to the podiatrist for the correct fitting).  It is also essential that they make the correct shoe inserts for you.  I have two pair of those and a pair of Richey braces.  I personally did not get the relief indicated on the Richey braces and they are very, very expensive.  Insurance does cover them and the shoes (diabetic) that are most comfortable with them.  I had to have mine measured and all that jaz.  It's so warm here in the southern states, that it's almost essential to get the correct shoes with the braces because they need to have air flow.  I still get overheated if I use the Richey braces.  The special insoles are the best for me and I use the without fail!

Good luck Pete and I hope you will find relief.  After about a year or two, I can honestly say my feet are better than they were....they are not well and they still hurt, but it's not the kind of pain that keeps you from putting them on the floor at all!! I'm sure you know exactly what I am talking about.

Don't wait....they said my back caused mine, but who cares what caused it...just fix it

Hope that is a great trip for you...it's been so very warm here in Texas, too....last year at this time
we had a sheet of Ice all around Texas, didn't last long but we did get caught in the rolling black outs
and the power company should've given us a warning, so I froze my backside off last year...
But this year is much warmer, and we are getting more rain a good thing...still in a drought
conditions but it's better now...Hoping to due better healthwise, but so far no go...
Maybe try ice packs and keeping your feet up might help...... Hope your doing better

Well Thanks so muc to All Y'all for your kind words and thinking bout Lil old me!!! I'd been back sooner but my puter wouldn't let me on-line!!! Just kep kicking me out which may happen now??? 

My wife has been hanging on by a thread and expects a pink slip in the mail any day! The company told her she could keep her job if we moved to Jacksonville which is out of the question for us. She had been working from home for the past 4 or 5 years now and has always done an excellent job according to her reviews and bosses! The company who bought theirs does not let anyone work from home!

I don't need to tell anyone here how helpless I feel cause lots of you who can't work know exactly what I mean!!!! It's a horrable gut wrenching feeling knowing I can't support my family evan though it's only my wife and I now.

R/T, thanks for the info on your hands and feet! What you said about flat feet made me remember how over 10 years ago I went to a foot dr. cause my doc at the time said maybe my feet were causing my back pain after he looked at them and told me they were flatterr than pancakes> which I already knew! Well the foot doc told me that my right foot (the one thats hurting so bad now) was the flattest foot she had ever seen!! Then they took molds and made those custom inserts for me which I wore for years till they finally broke in half! When that happened I had much bigger fish to fry and my feet didn't hurt so I just stopped wearing them and delt w/ the big cancer problem I had at the time!!! Now all these years later and so many other health issues, surgeries, castratin testosterone levels, mental breakdowns, SSI nightmares, marrital problems, kids overdosing, Naval Deployements, Son's marage and so forth and So on & on & on & on & on & on>>>>on!!!! I thing Y'all get the picture!! Now my feet hurt and I haven't put 2 + 2 together till you mentioned Flat Feet R/T!!! So thanks! My next dr apt is coming up soon so I'll tell him about the flat feet thing and ask for a referal to see a podio> hell > foot dr!!

Yes I now have Humana Gold Ins. which I got when I recieved metacare in Dec. I had the salesman here at my house and made him look up all my meds to make sure none were too expensive before I would sign which leads me to what happened to me Friday afternoon!!! Pete Jr. and I had to go to Motor V. to get all or car & truck registratins renued and in order before he leaves tomorrow for Jacksonville!! After we finnished w/o any problems (such a surprise!) I went up to the CVS to p/u my testosterone & seringes which I had called in earlier. The nice Lady at the drive thu asked me if I was aware of the price of my script??? I told her $10. like last time right??? No try $158.00! My blood presure skyrocketed and my Son told me I turned a bright red color within seconds!! Now this was one of the drugs I made sure my salesman checked. Humana has 3 classes of drugs> #1<>#2<>& #3. #1 is either free or $5. #2 is $10. and #3 is $35. Testosterone was a #2 when my salesdude checked so why are they charging me $158.??? I refused the script and called the phone # on my card when I got home. After talking to a couple robots and two ladies who couldn't evan find my script charges in their puters I finally got a girl who explained it to me. She told me that testosterone was changed to a #3 in Jan. and they are charging me for a 90 day supply!!! No other ins. company (maybe 4~6 different companys!) ever charged me any more than $20. for the same amount of Testosterone in the last 7 or 8 years I've been using it. The lady told me all I can do is ask my Dr. to call and try to make a case for them to change it to a #2 just for me! Yep, I'm gonna go ask a dr. I only see every 6 months to do that for me right away!! I've had so many problems in the past w/ this drug!!! Most ins. companys think I use it to get big muscles or to stay young which really pisses me off to no end!!! I use it cause my balls don't make it  anymore!!! It strared after my radical prostatectomy!!! They don't call it radical for nothing!! This was befor Davinci or the robot surgeries and is said to be the bloodiest surgery there is! It did something really bad to my testicles cause they just don't work! I'm not evan gonna go into what happens to me when I don't take it but I will use one word to describe it> Manapause!!!> Something really bad!!!

Now I am finnished and I do appologise to everyone for the big Petie Pitty Party>> P.P.P!!!

I'm leaving in my pickup truck in the morning. Following Pete Jr. to    J-ville to help him move into his new apt. He has nothing so we will need to buy him a bed and other esentials!!
