Hi everyone. Another week is upon us, I suppose. :P
I just got back from an appointment with my Pain Management doctor. He went over the results of my CT-Myleogram, and said that it didn't really show anything different though he isn't as familiar with the tests as a surgeon is. He said that unfortunately, its a double edged sword because it still didn't show him 100% where I am getting most of my pain from, but also didn't show anything new or awful. So he wants me to get back in touch after I see the neurosurgeon in Pittsburgh next Monday. He said that, depending upon what the surgeon says, they will probably recommend that I try going up to the next 'strength bracket' of pain medication. So, while I didn't get that medication today, at least I know that he's willing to help with that instead of keeping me on this Tramadol which isn't helping.
But now I have to wait until I see the neurosurgeon. I'm feeling sorta worse than usual today, but its mostly because of the travel. I'm really not looking forward toward the 3 hour drive to Pittsburgh, but I gotta do it.
I've been talking with a law firm and am appealing an SSDI/SSI denial and the attorneys act like I have a good case...so maybe someday, eventually, I can be a bit more financially stable for myself. The uncertainty of what lies ahead for me is one of the worst parts of having this, so I've been focusing on being comfortable and treating myself and taking one day at a time, but sometimes it's difficult. It would help if I knew I could help contribute more to my medical/travel costs and just general expenses. I'd like to rely on my dad as little as possible.
Have a good week, and thanks everyone. :)
