MRI scan & stents fitted

I have suffered from lower back pain on & off for about 5 years. However of late I have suffered more with chest wall pain & back pain. This all came about when I had a heart attack and have since had drug alluding stents fitted. I have been checked out and the pains are not heart related. The chest wall pain comes on usually with sitting or after sitting for only short periods. The upper back pain never really goes away even whilst on pain patches & 4x 400mg of Gabapentin. My G.P sayas all they can do is pain managment which isn,t working. I am now wondering if it is possible to have a MRI scan with a stent fitted, as I am sure it is made of metal of some sort.
