Hi Rose, just wanted to pop on and see how you are doing. Its been a good week or so since you have updated us on how things are going for you. I do hope you are having improvement even if its baby steps.

Hi, I am here checking on posts every day but have not had a lot to say. The flexeril made me sleepy but I guess that's what I needed. I did nothing from the day I said I quit I did not do anything, no shopping for groceries, no driving, no cooking, no cleaning, and you can only imagine the mess, four in this household and hubby was working full time plus overtime and the boys were home in the evenings as well. I stopped making work lunches as well so after the first few days the boys went and hung out with their girlfriends. Hubby asked his mom to come help so I have had her staying with me and we get along very well.
Once she realised hubby inviting everyone over and expecting things to suddenly appear was the main reason I had over done things. I am actually doing better, but tomorrow will tell the story, as we had eleven people over today to see grandma. I cooked quesadilla's and tonight I am exhausted. We combined grandma's visit with 3 birthdays so instead of 4 gatherings we did one.
I sound tired and rambling please excuse me as I am so tired. I have a ceramic kitchen floor and standing on it most of the day, my feet are so sore, and my back is hurting but not so bad that I need a doctor. I can barely keep my eyes open so good night my HW friends.

It's always good to hear from you, and your support has been tremendous here on the forum trying to help others, and we thank you for that.

It takes a long time for a fusion to heal, so don't give up hope on a better outcome as time goes on.

I am up and very sore today but not the gruelling pain like before so I think I dodged another set back. I did take quite a few breaks yesterday because my feet hurt from the ceramic floor if I ever get rich that floor will be gone.

This site is the best has the best people on it too. Thanks for caring so much. I will continue to be on HW because I like it here and I care about a bunch of my HW friends very much.

Thank you everyone it is so nice to be able to discuss pain issues without being judged by people who think a hang nail is a hand trauma.

I only have a couple flexeril left and still having spasms so I will be making another trip to see my gp. My surgeon appt is June 12 so my gp will have to write the presciption.
I am not doing anything until my surgeon gives me the ok, and I will be getting xray as well. |I know I should be off pain meds by now but I will be taking one tiny step at a time. I can walk around my house without walker and cane but when I go walking I use walker and I need it.
I wonder how long it will take to not feel the new parts? I feel like my bottom half of my body and top are working at different speeds if that makes any sense.

Hi Rose, so good to hear from you. Sounds like you may be starting to turn the corner again and thats good news but you still have a ways to go. I don't think you fully realized just how much your surgery took it out of you strength wise, so glad that you are resting and taking care of yourself. Even better to read you have some help at the house. You really need that.

I too have tile and wood floors and I cannot stand on them any length of time unless I have my good sneakers on that has a lot cushion and support. I have made the mistake many times of not having the right shoes on when I was going to be up on my feet and boy have I ever paid for it, lol.

Those muscles relaxers are going to be your friend from here on out. There will be times later on that you will need them and its always good to have some on hand.
