Hi all new here - 22 yearold with chronic pain from fx c7 and paralyzed hand

hi all wanted to introduce myself im 22 from new york i am/was a CNA

 i recently broke my c-7 vert. at work while lifting a patient so he wouldnt fall out of bed, ended up causing severe radial nerve damage and ended up with a paralyzed left hand with wrist drop, radial culopathy, im currently on 30mg MS contin 3x day and  1-2 15mg roxicodone every 4 hrs as needed and valuim 10mg every 6 hr as needed

currently fighting a workers comp case been out of pay for 6 months hopfully itll work out good...

thinking of switching to oxycontin 30mg 3x day instead of the morphine  once i have insurance in a month

I have radial nerve damage in my right hand from PINS syndrome.
Are you using any bracing for the hand and wrist? I did during initial phase and althought your injury was different and more extensive than mine I found the braces helpful.

I had a brace to hold my fingers extended while sleeping to try to lengthen the tendons that had caused my hand to curl up and then a normal wrist brace to hold my wrist and hand in a functional position which helped me to make the best use of the movement I had in my fingers.
